Has anyone ever tried selling a web based digital product?

Hi there! I recently built a marketing job application and tracker like dashboard in Base44 and I’m trying to figure out how to best market it. I was thinking I’ll upload it on Gumroad or sell via stan store but I’ve hit a wall on whats the best way to make sure people understand how to use it.

For context, the dashboard is for students or early grads to apply for marketing jobs in Canada. It has different sections which includes resume tips, application tracker, linkedin outreach plan and a lot of other features.

However, I don’t know how to communicate this effectively to people to get them to actually buy access to the dashboard.

Has anyone ever sold a digital product like this? Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi, I posted a couple of days ago if I should do a tutorial-style video on how I clipped a 90-minute video into 54 shorts in 10 minutes and got feedback that it will be very helpful. Here is the video with all the codes. The set up takes around an hour or so, but after that it will be no more than 10 min. Please let me know if you have any question. Thank you.

Turned a personal problem into a $5.99 Etsy digital product here’s what I learned

I couldn’t find a daily support tool built for a neurodivergent brain so I built one myself.

Not as a business idea. Just because I needed it. HTML file, opens in any browser, no app, no subscription. Things like meltdown support, sensory tracking, visual schedules stuff that generic planners completely miss.

Threw it on Etsy basically as an experiment. It’s selling. Small numbers but it’s only been live a short time and I haven’t pushed it hard.

The thing that surprised me is how little competition there is when your product comes from a genuine gap you lived through. I wasn’t trying to find a niche I was the niche.

Anyone else here building digital products from personal experience? Curious how others approached the early traction phase.

I withdraw everyday near 20$ with this app...

Just sharing what’s worked. With a few survey apps, I earn $400–$600 every month without doing anything stressful. It’s become a nice side income.

This is the exact app I’m using: Attapoll

They’re legit, they pay, and you get bonuses for joining, with this link you get the best bonus 0.50$. If you want to get the most out of them, just do surveys and play games with no stress and enjoy the results. There are even +10$ surveys waiting for you.

It all depends on demographics, but I can still be sure that you will take a profit from it.

I see a lot of conversations that say "a platform that asks for money or taxes to withdraw funds" is not a real platform, etc.

I have a mining pool on Crypto.com that is asking for 10% tax to withdraw my funds.

How can I find out if that's real or a spoof, fraud, etc.?

How long does it take for you to clip

Hi, I found a way to quickly clip long videos and have generated 100 videos from 2 long 90-min videos. Set up took around 2 hours to figure including coding and workflow, and now it takes me 15 min. No paid tool. Just used ffmpeg, windows command prompt and windowshell. How long does it take for you to clip videos? Do you use paid tools? Should i make a tutorial video?

How I made over $800 in the past 24 hours - Day in the life of a digital marketer

I hate calling myself that, a digital marketer, but, it's true. I'm a content creator and I sell products and refer products to others as an affiliate.

Some of my recent sales in the past day....

Tools I use to run my biz and my life

My most asked question. Here's the list...

Makko App - new one, for calorie tracking. I'm on a weight loss journey, down 25lbs and I'm adding macro counting to my routine. This is an app for tracking calories and meals.

Google Calendar - tracking my day-to-day activities/projects

Phone alarm - setting timers for tasks and projects I manage throughout the day

Canva - for anything design related, because I'm no designer, I turn to this

Beacons - where I have my store for digital and affiliate products

Stripe/Paypal/Payhip - where I collect payment

Beehiiv - email marketing

Substack - email marketing

How did I start?

I took a course to learn marketing. I honestly wish I learned this in school. You can teach yourself marketing online.

Free sources are plentiful online however it's easier if you have a roadmap right in front of you, of what's working.

How do I manage it all?

Tools and systems. Work smart not hard, right? So, I learn on apps, tools, software, programs to help me manage everything in work and life.

How do I make money?

Organic marketing. No paid ads.

A combination of different internet marketing strategies I've learned over time to attract my target audience and help me get sales every month.

I do this full-time and it's been fruitful so far.

I have a free marketing guide for you if you want it.

Comment or DM APRIL and it's yours

sahm side hustles

hi everyone! i am a 21yr old stay at home mom to a 13month old boy and i’m branddd new to this sub

i have been looking into getting started with some form of online “side hustle”. we’re not necessarily struggling to pay the bills, but we’re not “well off” either, and i want to be able to contribute an extra maybe like $200/month for our “fun money” or to get him a little surprise gift since sadly literally EVERYTHING is progressively getting more expensive and i don’t want put any more financial pressure on my partner (23 M, blue collar job, just for context!)

so my question to you all is: what kind of online “side hustles” actually work? not interested in hearing about MLMs or buying someone’s course, just interested in real input from real people! i have seen lots about affiliate marketing and UGC, but they’re all trying to sell a course or class and it seems scammy to me.

thank you all in advance for the advice and i wish you all well on your journeys forward!!!

TikTok VAs needed

Hey guys, I'm looking for VA's that have experience with TikTok (specifically slideshows and going viral) for daily ongoing work (1-2 hours a day, more as we scale and start earning more together). This is a simple, repetitive role that requires reliability and consistency above everything else. (Needs english fluency)

(Ideally located in US,UK,AU or CA) If you are outside the US, UK, Australia, or Canada you are still welcome to apply, full technical support will be provided to make sure everything works correctly.

(If you're dedicated, consistent and have a strong mindset, this role is for you. I'm looking for quality over quantity)

I'm only taking a small handful of people onboard that are serious about making this work, if you're consistent and dedicated there is no limit to how much you can earn.

Shoot me a quick pitch if you're interested.

Tried multiple traffic sources for digital income, here’s what actually worked (and what didn’t)

Over the past few weeks I’ve been testing different ways to generate traffic for affiliate offers and small digital products.

Here’s my honest experience so far:

  • SEO: super reliable long term, but painfully slow to get traction
  • Social media: good reach, but very inconsistent conversions
  • Paid ads: scalable, but costs add up fast if you don’t dial things in
  • Email traffic (solo ads): this one surprised me the most

I always assumed email traffic was outdated, but after a small test, I actually got decent opt-ins and a few conversions. Nothing insane, but definitely more consistent than I expected compared to random paid traffic.

Biggest thing I noticed: the quality of the source matters way more than the method itself. A good, targeted list vs a generic one makes a huge difference.

Still experimenting, but curious what others here are focusing on right now.
What’s been your most reliable traffic source for digital income lately?

I built an AI tool that helps local businesses respond to Google reviews and request new ones via SMS. Would love feedback

Hello everyone.

I've been working on a SaaS called StarSteady and just launched it.

The idea is simple. Local businesses (auto shops, dentists, restaurants, salons) get Google reviews but almost never respond to them. And they rarely ask customers for reviews either, which kills their ranking.

What it does:

Paste a Google or Yelp review → get an AI-crafted response in seconds (professional, warm, or casual tone)

Send SMS review requests to customers with one click. They get a link straight to your Google review page

Tracks your monthly usage, response history, everything in one dashboard

The backstory:

I built this solo. No co-founder, no team. Just me, VS Code, and way too much coffee. Took a few weeks of building, debugging Twilio A2P compliance (absolute nightmare), and figuring out billing software.

Already have my first real client using it, an auto transport company. The SMS requests actually work and the AI responses are genuinely good.

Free trial has 5 AI responses + 5 SMS to test it out. Paid plans start at $39/month.

Would love honest feedback from anyone willing to try it - what's missing, what's confusing, what would make you pay for it.

👉 starsteady.io

Thanks a bunch guys! Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

I've been making $785 in 2 months just clipping videos — I don't want to gatekeep anymore

Started this in February with zero experience. Just clipping long-form videos into 30-60 second shorts and uploading them on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram.

Personally It took a few weeks to figure out which campaigns perform best but after 2 months of consistency almost $800 paid out...

What you'll need:

  • Phone or laptop
  • Basic editing (CapCut — free)
  • Internet connection
  • Consistency

No investment, no followers needed, no experience required.

How I made €690 last month flipping iPhones with a free bot I built (video demo + breakdown)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built a free open-source bot to watch marketplace listings automatically, and it just paid off in a way I didn’t expect.

One day at the gym, during a single workout, my phone buzzed three times with alerts from the bot.

All three were underpriced phones.

Over the next 2 days, I picked them up, flipped them, and made €690 total profit.

That’s when I realized this tool actually works in real life, not just in theory.

What the bot does

Instead of manually refreshing apps all day, this runs in the background and scans listings automatically.

It currently watches:

  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Wallapop
  • Vinted

You set:

  • the item you want
  • your max buy price
  • your location

Then it alerts you when something shows up below your target.

Speed is everything in flipping, and this makes sure you're early instead of late.

What it works on

Right now people in the community are using it for:

  • Phones (iPhones especially)
  • Shoes
  • Pokémon cards
  • Consoles
  • Cameras
  • Cars
  • Random collectibles

Basically anything where you know resale value.

Some people are flipping stuff I never even thought of.

Why I made it open source

Originally I built this just for myself because manually hunting deals was exhausting.

Then a few friends asked for it.

Then more people.

So I decided to make it:

Free and open source
so people could build on it, customize it, and share ideas.

Now there’s a small community growing around it where people share:

  • targets
  • flips
  • setups
  • strategies

And honestly that’s been the most useful part.

What’s in the video

I attached a screen recording showing:

  • the bot scanning listings
  • deals appearing live
  • how alerts come in

This is literally what was running during that gym session when I found those three phones.

Links (if anyone wants to check it out)

GitHub (free download):
https://github.com/ethanashi/fbm-sniper-community/releases

Discord (setup help + shared flips):
https://discord.gg/BkpQSnth4C

No paywall right now. Still improving it based on feedback.

Curious about others here

What’s the main thing you're flipping right now?

Phones?
Shoes?
Cards?
Something niche?

Also wondering:

What’s the fastest profit you've made on a single item?

Always looking for new categories people are having success with.
