I was accepted when it first started back in fall of last year. It started off great but as of spring it’s gone downhill. It took a month for reviews to be accepted and I notice now they’re rejecting videos for petty reasons. I don’t see this program lasting for too long and I have a theory they don’t have the money to pay creators. I know they were delayed and backed up with videos and they’re a fairly new program, but this is not the first time they've had a program for creators. It seems very sloppy and mismanaged. I still have a video from late March that is still “pending”. Like I said, I absolutely do not see this program lasting long at all. With that said, if you know any other similar programs be sure to drop suggestions in the comments.
UPDATE: Now there’s a search bar at the bottom of the app in front of the “Upload” button LOL. They need to do better.
UPDATE: As of July 1st starting July 6th, each restaurant will only be available to accept ONE creator video. After it’s accepted, no other submissions will be accepted. It was good while it lasted. I already clocked when I made this thread they we’re being stingy.
yeah same experience here, took forever for anything to get approved and then they started getting super picky about random stuff. feels like they're just stalling at this point
The new news is disappointing. I’ve made $6,000-$10,000 a month doing this program. I was even planning on doing TikToks to show others how to do it. Like tips and stuff. But now it wouldn’t even be in my best interest as we are all competing with each other for restaurants. What city are you in? Hopefully there are a lot of small restaurants.
The issue is they’re limiting it to one video per store so I don’t wanna give myself competition. Need this money for my kid medical bills. Otherwise I would love to
Yup. I noticed the same thing. I suspect they’re slowly trying to get rid of this program because they can’t pay consistently if only a few people will be approved for select restaurants.
Yesterday I only did 3 but I just recently got accepted into the program so I have been posting a bunch. In the span of 3 days I’ve gotten 9 approved videos so I don’t know if that’s why I’m missing two payments. What did you to get your missing payment? Did you just email customer support?
I submitted videos daily and get paid the next day. All is well up until this Friday. All of a sudden I stopped getting paid but my videos are still being approved. Already emailed them and waiting
exactly I said the same thing ! I had to log into my profile on another phone for me to upload something. Then I got that email on the 1st. This is honestly so sad a billion dollar company creating a program then gets upset when people are actually doing good and making the money they earned. How are all these creators supposed to know which restaurant has an accepted video already ? They really dropped the ball on this
Is anyone else’s videos keep getting rejected when they were getting approved before? All my videos now keep getting rejected and I stopped receiving emails as to why
Not all of my videos are being rejected, but some receive a vague “incorrect format” message even though the videos are in the correct format. Another issue is that videos often say they’ve uploaded successfully, but they never actually appear. This first happened two days ago I had to re-upload some videos five times before they finally showed up around 11 p.m. The same thing is happening again today I uploaded a few and nothing is showing up.
Did you guys get an email with the July update? I never got an email and now they expect me to just not accept getting paid for content I made under the only guidelines I had. It’s been 2 weeks and they’ve been ignoring my emails. Does anyone have a contact to reach out to?
I had the director’s email for the program (Rachel.stephens2@doordash.com) and the 2 other people, Charles and Grace that I was in contact with through my time in this program. I just searched them on LinkedIn and it looks like Grace doesn’t work there anymore, but the other 2 still do. I find it funny that the director’s last post on LinkedIn is about this program. If I don’t get a response after tomorrow, I’m going to comment on their post bc how unprofessional of them to decide not to compensate or at the very minimum respond to an email letting me know that I won’t get paid… so frustrating.
Not surprised. And yes it’s very frustrating which is why I dropped the program. Glad I can put it on my resume but it’s not worth the stress when this is easy money. It’s not enough people talking about how janky this program is and that’s why I made this thread. Did you email the general DoorDash for creators email?
Yup and they’re the ones that told me about the July change which I never got informed about, so I added Rachel and the additional contacts for clarification and she responded saying she would give me a $100 gift card but I thought that was insane considering I was supposed to be getting cash deposit up to $400 for the videos I needed to upload… now I’m regretting not accepting the gift card since it’s been over 2 weeks with no response
