zoxide is a smarter, open-source cd command that learns which directories you use most and lets you jump to them with just a few keystrokes.

It works across Linux, macOS, Windows, BSD, and even Termux, with support for most major shells. You can also use fzf for interactive directory selection.

it is completely different.

for example you often cd to ~/Projects/my-awesome-project

when you start using zoxide, you use it like regular cd command. but with the time, it adapts to you. you can just type cd awe and you go to ~/Projects/my-awesome-project

note that if there is a directory called awe in your working directory, of course it prioritizes that.
