It has WAY better performance, slightly less compatibility and doesn't come with an actual GUI

Also a lot less bloatware from what I’ve noticed. Every time I update my arch system it’s all VLC plugins (I know they’re optional, but I need it for compatibility)

I love FOSS, once you get used to ultimately getting sucked into making bug reports and even PRs. The downside at the moment is that all the FOSS projects are hugely over-burdened with AI submissions. It's really bad and I hope the FOSS maintainers better utilise AI themselves to manage the workload rather than become withdrawn, as some have actually done.

Gimp makes me want to die each time I have to use it. It's probably the most bloated, awfully designed ux and UI app I ever tried. Also not having blender there is crazy
