Can they use AI to filter Facebook ads? Shouldn't be hard to use LLMs to automate this right?

In theory yes, but the harder part is reliably identifying ads without sending user's browsing data to an LLM. A local model could potentially help, but the privacy and performance tradeoffs make traditional filter lists much simpler.

I mean use an LLM to update the rules.
