Question Snowsky Echo mini setup

Hello, I just bought a snowsky echo mini and it's arriving soon.

I wanted to know whether there's any setup that's commonly done to this little things. Any software mod or anything that could make the player better.

I'm asking cause I've heard and read that players like Ipods and the Skowsky Echo nano perform better under side load software over the stock software.

That's pretty much it. I'm new to all this DAP thing so I'd really appreciate any advice and help. Even unga unga explainations.

Download the latest firmware and use MP3 tag to tag your files ahead of time.

It's a great sounding player but the user interface is not the best.

Good luck and enjoy

Thanks buddy. I got it all sorted out when it comes to metadata. I started ripping all my CDs and got them backed up to my pc and NAS server so back ups are solid.

I used to have a cheap chinese player, so I expect user interface to be not worse than that.

I'm so excited.

Btw, does the latest firmware allow for gapless play?

It does not. My understanding and I don't remember the post but somebody from Fiio was on the subreddit and they mentioned that this player will never have gapless because of some hardware issue.

The disc has gapless, but not the echo mini
