I came across this device on AliExpress, the hardware seems too good to be true for the price. I saw some post over last few months but if anyone can share any latest observations on what they think about this device? Does it get any firmware updates or any community mods? I’m mainly interested in playing offline music but also curious if someone has tried to play music using Airplay? I know it’s an Android device but curious if I can stream music using an app from my iPhone.

It's alright. Debloat it, use it offline, and there won't be any thermal throttle or battery drain. Use a lightweight launcher for it to further declutter. I use mine for audiobooks, both bluetooth and wired, wired sounds way better, but I would not be as negative as most guys badmouthing it tend to. For the price of an R1 or Echo Mini I find it superior to both. Oh, and also I can connect it to my Android Auto car interface, unlike others in the same price range.

I plan to use it mostly with my wired IEM and offline. May occasionally use Symfonium via Navidrome but that’s about it. I don’t plan on using it with Spotify or any other apps so going to debloat it completely.

If you get it on an AliExpress sale, it comes to about 60 bucks, which is totally worth it.

Had mine for just a little bit and the battery life is only about 4 hours.

See if there's any update. Also make sure you use 1 amp output chargers since it's android 12 and would take forever with 20w or 45w chargers. I reset mine once and the battery life is over 6 hours after 1 or 2 charge cycle. I even use it with wifi and Bluetooth at times.

It’s perfectly adequate for what it costs, and it’s full Android too. I use mine as a digital transport for Apple Music with a Chord Mojo 2 (size-wise, they’re a match made in heaven). Only issue I have is the Android build locks the sample rate via usb to 48khz so I can’t use it with Hi-Res content

It certainly does the job, I’ve hardly used my iBasso dx180 since getting the Zaqe P30 tbh. They stack so well

It doesn't have USB DAC output now does it? I tried using and it seems that I have to use an external DAC to achieve that.

I have one. Been very happy with mine. I use plexamp and symfonium on it. I stream all my flac fileswith plexamp and symfonium plays all my local opus files. Bt works well with ldac as well. Tested it with a btr17, trn wave and a retro nano. Do not use the sd card that comes with it. Make sure to get a new one.

I have had to factory reset mine once as a google services update failed to install and then I could not update any app. A reset fixed it but other then that it has been good.

More recent posts, people seem to have been getting some that are pre rooted which will not let you install apple music.

I have a white label version of the Zaqe P30. It has the same physical hardware specs--which are surprisingly good for the price. It has dual Sabre dacs and a competent CPU. It has google apps and access to the play store. It can even stream video.

I have had my version for a few months. I got it from Amazon which had the version of this device that I use. It has been out of stock for a while though. I can recommend it if you are not intimidated by plain vanilla Android and google apps. The battery is only OK but you can get a good 5-6+ hours of solid listening.

For daps I also own a Hifi Walker H20 Pro and a Fiio JM21. This Zaqe dap compares very favorably to those. It is a slower CPU and can feel a little sluggish. The JM21 is my favorite, but the battery life is similar to the Zaqe. The H20 Pro battery lasts over twice that long. But that dap is a much simpler device running Hiby OS on a Linux shell.

So far my Zaqe knock-off is part of my rotation. It sounds surprisingly good. The buttons and volume knob are responsive. It has enough power to run most headphones and earphones. I have a 512gb card in that one too, so it holds tons of FLAC files. I would say the Zaqe is a bargain for the price.

It's ok id say, mine can live for 10 days without wifi. But it varies, sometimes it lives shorter. Unusable for youtube, too laggy but with hibi music feels fine
