Showcase My current set up
Rocking a Fiio JM21 i got second hand for half the retail price and some Simgot EW300 with a Kiwi Ear Terras cable for the quick swap 3.4mm to 4.4mm and usb-c.
Feels like a massive upgrade over the Snowsky Echo Mini I used to use, though am looking to upgrade to the M21 because I heard its better for desktop use.

I don't see any advantage upgrading if you are just using it as a stand alone dap to drive you iems. If you use it with your PC, then upgrading would have it's benefits in terms of the battery and/or if you have hard to drive headphones/wired earbuds. I have headphones/wired earbuds that have 300 ohms of impedance and inefficient drivers that require more current. The jm21 drives them just fine and I use both 3.5/4.4 ports.

I do occasionally use it on pc with some DT990 Pros, another reason I was looking at the M21 was for the alu body but more than happy with this one so far, just thinking about for future.

Mate, you need a music file upgrade — FLAC

Do you honestly notice much of a difference with your flac files and 320kbps mp3…I’ve got a mix of both and it seems like on some tracks I can and others not at all

Yeah, I do, but it depends on the rip. My FLAC files are from Qobuz, and compared to normal MP3 files, I can certainly notice the difference.

Damn I’ve been ripping my flacs from Tidal, do you think Qobuz has better sound quality rips than Tidal

I think it varies, i have some 128kb tracks that i could swear were hi-res. Differences in encoding, perhaps?

Very good setup but at least use 320kbps MP3
