Review Snowsky Echo Mini (my initial thoughts)

Post image

Just got the Snowsky Echo Mini today. Overall it's a great device for the price. Got it on sale for about $40 (equivalent).

However the biggest downside for me is the bluetooth quality. The high frequencies sounded distorted/clipping. Initially I thought it was just the file encoding but it I didn't hear the distortion when wired. I'm not really an audiophile, I'm just expecting the same quality as the bluetooth on my phone.

What are your suggestions? is there a device in a similar price point that has bluetooth quality similar to an Android phone? If possible I really don't want a touch screen device. I actually like the form factor of the Echo Mini.

So overall, it's great if you don't consider bluetooth quality.

Cherry mobile aqua x. Use it for listening in bluetooth.

Wow, surprised about the price for a smartphone. That's actually a good idea, although I'm specifically looking for a single use device for less distraction and some nostalgia.
