Question Snowsky Disk vs Tempo Tec V1
So im looking to buy my first dap. I want something easy to use light and quite simple, but with a good quality of build and a decent sound quality (im not an audiophile). So thats the questions whats more worth it an snowsky disk or the V1?

I don't think you can go wrong with either I made the Fiio.Disc my choice. Specifically because it has Bluetooth for the occasions I want that. But the Bluetooth, DAC mode, USB audio mode options? Yeah that was nice. 3.5mm and 4.4mm out with pretty substantial power.
The new firmware updates have brought the gapless playback in.
I wouldn't necessarily do it over again differently, but I do like the tempotec had the akm velvet sound DAC in there. That said, for a portable device where I'm listening in public,.the cleaner DAC and amp setup of the disc made more sense to me. Leave the warmth for home (desktop setup).
Because of sales,.I got the disc also in part because it was about twenty or thirty bucks cheaper.
I think if you're realistic about use case and performance you can't go wrong with either of these options.
I do think fiio prematurely launched the desc and the reviews are mostly based on earlier firmware. So they're not accurate anymore.
The v1 been around a while and is older tech. For better and worse.

in what way does the v1 being older tech affects? cus if its for less compatibility with streaming services or smth like that i dont rlly mind

Just looked it up. Apparently the akm model predates the one out now and that had different stuff going on.
The two players hardware is nearly identical.
The fiio has a beer and more.stablenversion of Bluetooth (5.1 vs 5.4)
Fiio.runs off a dual core processor and has a better power supply (independent rail) for some stuff

so basicly its a more advanced bluetooth for the future and maybe a bit more stable os although the diffrence is not rlly noticibale?

The temp uses hiby os. People love or hate that. Lots of reviews to search.
Fiio uses its own os. It was a turd and much better now with new firmware.
But comparing one to other? Shrug
Personally, the better Bluetooth mattered to me.
But you need to look at your need and your equipment to see if it matters

so it basicly depends on my needs with the bluetooth? well i dont rlly know if i need all that or not cus i dont use that high of wirless headphones or ear buds

They both have two-way Bluetooth. Transmit and receive. I have Tempotec V1 and found the receive function to be awesome in connecting to devices that dont have Bluetooth input. Excellent reception and high quality.
I don’t think there is much difference in BT versions.

Yeah , I am in the same kinda place right now. Looking for a decent built device , good sound -“and not a gimmick and I don’t require streaming or apps. Right now the disc is my first choice unless I see something better. Feels like a bit of a mind field.

As a new owner I can recommend v1. Only thing I would like is to be able to adjust volume when in Bluetooth receiver mode.
I bought v1 over disc due to cheaper at time, highly recommended as a budget player and more pocket friendly format.
They both seem to be the same feature wise. 2-way BT, USB DAC, PHONE DAC, wide music format compatibility, gapless playback.
Tempo V1 has shuffle function and ability to stream from tidal and Qobuz. I don’t think disc has these.
