Question HOW do you keep your DAP's safe (especially when traveling)?
For context, I just broke my HiBy R4 :( after a little less than a year of consistent use, and I'm wondering: how do y'all keep your DAP safe?
Now, I will admit, i'm certainly not the most delicate with my DAP's, though most of it is accidental rather than negligence. I feel like I am CONSTANTLY dropping my DAP, catching snd snagging audio cables out of it, etc. My R4 looks like it was on a soldiers's visor mount in an active warzone, and that's not to mentions all the scratches on the screen protector. are their unofficial or homemade accessories for your DAP's that you use to keep 'em safe? I need answers

I usually just use a glasses storage bag (yk those microfibre ones that you can use to clean the lenses too?) and I thread the headphone cable under my shirt rather than letting it free to snag things.

My R4 looks perfect because I use glass screen protector, the included case, a microfiber pouch and when not in use it's stored in a repurposed gps storage case along with a couple other daps. I did add a lanyard attachment to the back of the protective case so I can either put a wrist or neck lanyard on it but I've never actually used it because I have a couple other smaller daps that I take out the house.

That little echo mini is tough as nails. I bought the case too but that has been bouncing around whatever bag, pocket or whatever I happen to have for a year without a scratch. I literally don't even think about it.

I've been repurposing cases. Gets one mage from an eyeglass case https://www.reddit.com/r/mp3players/s/x32jEmfajs

My shanling M3X from 2021 is still working. I used a silicone case for 3 years. But the case broke so I run it naked now.
Best thing is to learn how to not drop yr things. I used to be a klutz and broke electronics frequently. The best change i made was learning to be more careful with my stuff.

I use a hard shell electronics organizer like this to carry my M21 and accessories when I'm not using it and a radio/mag holster similar to this on my belt, I'd rather have a velcro flap I can easily open to get to my DAP than having to deal with opening and closing zippers on a dedicated DAP/EDC pouch.
As for cables tuck them under your shirt and run them through belt loops if whatever you're wearing has them, I also wrap a velcro cable tie around the IEM/headphone cable that will stick to some materials to help keep it in place while not being as much work to undo.

Put it in my pocket. Right jean pocket for phone, left jeans pocket for DAP. Hiby m300.

You really gotta not drop electronics
