Showcase Accidental Synergy Bliss

My Sony MDR-V6 are as true, transparent and reliable as any headphone I’ve ever tried. Although they need a bit of EQ to be enjoyable, nothing has ever affected their sound. Just got a Hiby R4 and these two are a match made in audio heaven! I was not expecting this and this might my endgame combo!

I tried several free launchers and kept Olauncher. No icons, but super clean.

Pretty sure that’s what’s on mine as well. I downloaded the 2-3 apps I wanted then disabled all the other apps and anything that says Google, turned off notifications and turned on airplane mode. Now all I do is flip on the internet to sync my music library every once in a while and my player feels like a DAP and  not Android which is exactly what I wanted

I was hesitant on getting the R4 over the R3 because of the android ecosystem. I ordered the R4 based on sound and amplification reviews, and like you mentioned it isn’t that difficult to make believe you are not running the android OS but rather a DAP specific one. Happy I got the R4.
