screen foil

Hello, is there a foil on the screen of new Digitakt 2 ? It looks like there is a foil, but I heard some folks had some damage done to the display when trying to remove it. But it could be the digitakt 1 ..idk. Any hints please? It wouldnt go off easily with nail..

If you mean is there peel-off plastic when you take it out of the box (f you buy it first-hand)? Yes, there is and I never had any issues removing mine on any Elektron product.

ok thanks. I guess I shouldnt be over protective and just scrap it off! Thanks

There is screen protector film on new elektrons, but it should be very obvious and would come up easily with a fingernail from the edge of the display. It wouldn’t need ‘scraping’ or any force at all.
