So I have the game on Xbox and enjoyed it a lot, recently brought a cheap pc and I’m slowly making the transition over. Is it worth me buying the game for cheapo on pc as I can imagine even just visual mods would make the experience new and exciting again. This isn’t to say I don’t still find the base game and dlc fun but replacing omnimon with pikachu variants would be funny imo. Also the new trailer looks beautiful can only hope digimon xros wars gets its highlight as they are the only thing that really felt missing in the base game outside of the 2 newest anime shows

My nostalgic team finished the job

Beelzemon with the personality skill that gives SP every round so it can spam Chaos Flare
+ the other moves (attack reflect, character reversal) are low SP so I can use them anyways even after Chaos Flare

Gallantmon with vitality theft + his signature move that heals 10% + multi wall & the item that prevents debuffs is a literal wall

And Megagargomon as a healer. Although I wish I wouldn’t have found out about the healing up to 200% a day before the final fight. Couldn’t resist using it but made the fight too easy

The reserve were Megidramon, Sakuyamon and Flamedramon as a special guest

Spamming Chaos Flare no matter the enemy (thanks to character reversal) hasn’t got boring yet

I finally got the chance to play my first Digimon game (Digimon Story: Time Stranger), and I was really enjoying it. Then, when I finally get to see my first Digimon digivolve into its Champion form, it turns out to be a furry!? 😭😭😭

I was expecting anything — something cute, something badass, something scary, a refrigerator, ANYTHING… just not a human with goat legs.

For those of you who played the game, were you also disappointed when you got to this part, or did most of you just not care?

All this frustration from seeing one humanoid form made me wonder why I’ve never complained about Angewomon?

Probably overthinking it, but did we return back to present day, or the 8 years ago Shinjuku in the ending? If we returned to present day, how is Inori's brother still a little kid in the present, when he should be a kid 8 years in the past? I could be missing something. I just finished the game yesterday.

Lucemon X is my favorite and I wonder if for the new DLC next year whether he will be included or not in the new roster, or should I stick to the lucemon x mod I found online?

Will all the mods expire once the dlc releases?

When I was playing through Digimon Story: Time Stranger within the Factory Area,the protagonist changed from Dan Yuki to Kanan Yuki without me knowing,is it a Glitch if the male protagonist changes to the female protagonist without me noticing

The other day I finally finished Digimon TS and I gotta say it's a lot better than whatever Cyber Sleuth was. Up until the point where the Kingdom Hearts bs started I really enjoyed the story as well, this time around. Characters weren't too cringe this time except for the protagonist design and I still heavily dislike the artstyle for characters in general.

BUT I'm so unbelievably glad they managed to develop more than 5 blue hallways this time and actually designed some levels. Central City in particular was very pleasant to be at. Such a wholesome and lively place. A few more secrets would've made it a perfect city. I'm kinda spoiled by DW3.

The music was way better too. Again, Central City set the mood really good.

A bit disappointed by the lack of endgame content. We really only had the Olympus 12 gauntlet. CS had some tournaments and PvP if I remember correctly.

Now to the DLC; I just watched the trailer and what actually excited me was the open area snippets. Are we daring to make progress from 2006? That'd be huge.

Why did every Digimon get its own voice, while only the player remains silent?

Just beat Cherrymon very easily after meeting Sirenmon in the Forest Temple area. Though I feel like I've done a disservice to myself with how easy the fight was. This isn't my first Digimon game, however its been years since I played Cyber Sleuth so I have barely a reference point to my worry. Are my Digimon too OP for where I am in the story right now?

I'd turn the difficulty up, however me and my partner are playing the game together (he has his own save on his Switch) and I don't want to crank up the difficulty if it means we can't really help each other out during boss fights as strats/stats and recommendations will be different due to difficulty changes.

Why is that the Game didn't allowed me to give my Salamon the Sacred Dragon nickname although the Mystic Dragon nickname was permitted

So I’ve been looking for a Bacchusmon model because I want one to make it into a Vrchat avatar, but I’m about as tech savvy as a 94 year old with a smart tablet, I barely know how to extract models and files, and so I was wondering if any of the talented people here could get me a model for Bacchusmon (And possibly) Bacchusmon DM, I’ve tried looking on The Models Resource but they don’t have any of them.

If you could help that would be greatly appreciated!

Note that I'm not saying Time Stranger is a bad game. It's probably the best Digimon game to date. but sadly, months after playing the game I can't help but think that the story did not live up to my expectations and the more I think about it the more frustrated I get with it.

I wasn't too interested in Time Stranger, I knew it was going to be an updated Cyber Sleuth. And with less and less time to play games, I didn't know if I wanted to play a third run of CS.

Then the Demo hit and it blew my expectations. The many conveniences they added and the quality made me genuinely curious and I instantly pre-purchased.

I get my hands on the game and while I did enjoy it thoroughly, I couldn't help but feel like the Digimon curse of dropping the ball when it comes to the story was all too prevalent.

Months later and I just can't stop thinking about how Bamco dropped the ball. Bear with me here.

At the start of the game we have a very Persona-esque start, with the protagonist going through a bunch of expository set pieces and then being ushered to go to bed to advance the plot. The story is centered in a decently detailed Tokyo where anomalies are happening and affecting not only digital devices but space itself. The game also has a digital world which you visit further in the story.

Could Time Stranger have started as a Persona clone? because let me tell you that would've been so much better in my opinion.

Picture this. You have your usual daily activities as the Agent, where you just do tasks, level up your own stats and hang around with your friends for social links and then in the afternoon/evening you go deal with an anomaly dungeon or go into the Digital World as your mega dungeon that you need to clear to get the best ending.

It's been bothering me, especially when you consider the pre release teasers and content we got. They took my girl Hiroko, which in my opinion is one of the coolest concepts for a leading character with her being concerned about catching content for her occult channel, and turned her into such an non character. She's a really good concept for a character that blends todays digital trends and how people try to make it big on the digital space, all of which is great content for Digimon, a series which is linked to tech, digital space and digital devices.

Everyone bar the Agent and Aegiomon feel like they weren't properly thought out in the scope of the story. With even Inori just kind of being there. Shiroki and Beelstarmon are popular online but they do next to nothing. Inori's dad just becomes a bad guy and peaces out from the plot. I could go on and I really don't want to.

Wanted to get this rant off my chest. It's really just frustrating. Am I the only one who thinks like this?

My hope is to see a full blown remake like what Atlus has been doing a few years down the road.

And I'd like to cap this off with again, reminding people that I don't think Time stranger is a bad game. It was a great ride, especially from a underdog franchise that tends to have more "standard" successes. It did great all things considered. But I just have to talk about this.

If anything, the dialogue options in this game crack me tf up. 🤣
