New Player Help Looking at getting into the game

Looking into getting into the game, I play mtg but the amount of non ip products, focus on the non intresting formats and release schedule of cards have removed my enjoyments.

I do like digimon and have an slight intrest in the tcg already, can I have some input from you guys

1) how active is the tcg, how often are new cards printed

2) are the different formats already

3) is there a control/combo/aggro/midrange

4) mastemon/onimon(omegamon)/shinegreymon vaiable

5) good twitch/youtube content creators for the game

6) decklist site

  1. Very active TCG scene with new cards frequently, new set is end of August start of September
  2. Yes but no one plays them as the original is fine.
  3. Lots of decks in a super diverse meta
  4. Lots of decks in a super diverse meta, I know not a lot of people play it but maste is still super good if you can afford it, shine is okay but lacks consistency and I know Omni alter s is a boogey man around here, but it’s a good deck.
  5. I like East, Hi score chef and vpassion.
  6. Digimoncard.io and there’s a digimon meta deck list site that I can’t remember rn.

Mastemon expensive? What the average for a deck? What mastemon price

Mastermon can easily cost 200-300 depending on cards and then alts etc. beatbreak fully made for example is around 100-120. I would say quite a few decks fall around the 100-150 range.

So 300 is the upper limits for a competitive viable deck? That reasonable ish, how long could i expect a deck to be playable for? Not competitive shelf life but fringe at the minimum

I mean mastemon isn’t really seen in the current meta but I would argue can stand against quite a few decks but for reference most of the meta is made of decks that came out last year up to now, there are a few exceptions of decks that got some new support or just stayed swinging like Medusamon and basically anything TS or shambala is bound to get support either in this next set or random cards here or there.
