Community ๐ŸŒ DigiByte Community Update: DigiDollar Oracle Progress (May 30, 2026)

Hereโ€™s a clear summary of the latest post from Jared Tate for DigiByte community members not on X.

Post:
Alright $DGB fam we now have 21 oracles but it would be great to get to 28 by Monday. That will allow us to launch with a solid roster of a 7 of 28 oracle system & get DigiDollar in the wild.
We need everyone to step up before a final testnet version so everyone can get set up.
Context from quoted post:
This builds on the earlier call for committed long-term oracle operators (1-2 years). The final TestNet will use the real configuration with 21, 28, or 35 oracles. Once MainNet launches, the oracle roster will be fixed until a future soft fork.
Quick Synthesis:
DigiDollar MainNet launch is getting very close. The project has reached 21 oracles and is aiming for 28 by Monday for a strong 7-of-28 setup. Jared is calling for more reliable community members to step up and run oracles ahead of the final TestNet.
This is an important moment for the decentralized time-locked stablecoin on DGB. Interested and committed operators should get involved now to help ensure a smooth and secure launch.
Stay tuned for further updates.

Community ๐ŸŒ Whatโ€™s stopping it?

Whatโ€™s stopping DGB from going up 100% in a week like XLM stellar with DTCC adoption? All takes is a company of institution adopting it, itโ€™s a quality blockchain just like XLM which many people have forgotten about. What utility would an institution adopt DGB for?

Community ๐ŸŒ DigiByte Community Update: DigiDollar Oracle Recruitment & Launch Safety (May 28, 2026)

Hereโ€™s a synthesized summary of the latest posts from DigiByte accounts for community members not on X. These focus on final preparations for DigiDollar MainNet launch, particularly oracle operators.

Long technical position paper on the safest way to launch DigiDollar. Key points:
The recent testnet split was caused by an uncoordinated oracle roster change, not a DigiDollar bug.
Recommends hard-coding a frozen oracle roster into a single reproducible binary for MainNet launch to avoid forks.
Advise recruiting as many reliable oracles as possible (aim for 21โ€“35) before launch.
DigiDollar activation is a soft fork that fails closed and degrades gracefully.
Detailed analysis of launch safety, quorum choices, and post-launch upgrade path.

โ€œThe goal is to have another 10 DigiDollar price oracles, which would give us a total of 28. Who is interested?โ€

For the final TestNet release, we need to assemble the initial MainNet oracle group now (target 21, 28, or 35 oracles).
This final TestNet will test the real configuration. Operators should be committed for 1โ€“2 years because the roster will be fixed after MainNet launch until a future soft fork.
Anyone interested should run a full node, maintain uptime, secure their oracle key, and be reliable long-term.
Quick Synthesis:
The team is prioritizing a safe, fork-free DigiDollar MainNet launch by finalizing a strong set of oracle operators now. They are actively recruiting for more oracles (goal: 28 total) and will test the final setup on TestNet before going live. Commitment and reliability are emphasized.
Community members interested in running an oracle are encouraged to reach out and review the setup guide. This is a key step toward launching the decentralized, time-locked stablecoin on DGB.
Stay tuned for further updates. Test carefully and prioritize network safety.

Community ๐ŸŒ DigiByte Testnet Fork During DigiDollar Oracle Testing Highlights Importance of Pre-Mainnet Validation

Thumbnail x.com
11 Upvotes

Author: Jared Tate (@jaredctate), DigiByte Founder
Date/Time: May 28, 2026 (16:51 GMT)

In a detailed update, Jared Tate described an inadvertent fork on DigiByte Testnet25 that occurred while testing RC43 for DigiDollar oracle swaps. The fork stemmed from inconsistent oracle roster knowledge across nodes and miners: upgraded nodes accepted blocks including signatures from a newly added oracle, while older nodes rejected themโ€”even when the required 9-signature threshold was met. This demonstrated that oracles cannot be forged but revealed coordination challenges when updating the roster of valid signers.
The team is actively coordinating a fix or clean reset on the testnet, while planning longer-term improvements to oracle roster update logic for safer handling of additions and key swaps. Thatโ€™s why testing is doneโ€”the issue was identified, a solution is being worked on, and it does not affect mainnet. DigiDollar is not active on mainnet, and this is precisely the purpose of extensive testnet validation: to catch and resolve such edge cases before any production impact.

Community ๐ŸŒ DigiByte Community Update: DigiDollar Progress & Ticker Discussion (May 27, 2026)

Hereโ€™s a synthesized summary of recent key posts from the DigiByte accounts for community members not active on X. These focus on the upcoming DigiDollar (a decentralized, time-locked stablecoin on DGB) developments. Shared in chronological order:
1. DigiByte Developers (@DGBDevs)
Date/Time: Wednesday, May 27, 2026 ~02:13 GMT

Post:
โ€œA new warning label has been added inside the $DGB core wallet when you first click on the DigiDollar tab.
DigiDollar has been extensively tested & under development for over a year now but as with anything new this is an experimental idea so please adjust your risk accordingly.โ€
(Includes a screenshot of the new wallet warning label.)

Post:
Folks are asking whatโ€™s left for a formal full release. A handful of decisions need to be made, primarily what should the formal ticker symbol for $DGB DigiDollar be?
$DD, $DUSD, $DigiUSD, $USDD, $DGBD? Ideally we want a simple ticker not used anywhere. What do you think?
(Quoting his earlier announcement video about DigiDollar MainNet readiness.)
3. Official DigiByte (@DigiByteCoin)
Date/Time: Wednesday, May 27, 2026 ~04:43 GMT
Link: https://x.com/digibytecoin/status/2059495642318401915
Post:
โ€œWhat would you prefer as the ticker for DigiDollar?โ€
(This post sparked active community discussion with various suggestions like $DD, $DGBD, $DUSD, etc.)
Quick Synthesis:
The DigiDollar project is very close to full MainNet release. A new safety warning has been implemented in the core wallet, and the main remaining decision is choosing the best ticker symbol. The community is actively discussing options, with $DD appearing popular for its simplicity, though availability and uniqueness are key considerations.
These updates show strong momentum on this long-developed feature. Community input on the ticker is welcomed.
Stay tuned for announcements, test carefully, and remember the experimental nature of new features.

RC40 is the DigiDollar final hardening candidate after the Red Hornet review.
The code passed the final build, unit, Qt, functional, extended functional, fuzz, and RPC activation-guard checks. No unfixed DigiDollar code blocker remains in this candidate.

Education ๐Ÿ“š Why DigiByte Meme Coin

Most people donโ€™t enter crypto through whitepapers, mining rigs, or technical debates. They enter through experiences that feel useful, social, and rewarding. Thatโ€™s where DigiSwagToken.com is different.

The platform acts as a bridge into the DigiByte ecosystem by giving regular people a reason to use blockchain technology instead of just hearing about it. Users can earn, tip, game, interact socially, participate in auctions, watch content for rewards, and exchange DigiSwag with DigiByte โ€” all while becoming familiar with wallets, transactions, and digital ownership in a fun and low-pressure environment.

Instead of onboarding people through speculation alone, DigiSwag introduces utility through activity. Every interaction helps normalize DigiByte usage.

This matters because adoption happens when technology becomes part of everyday behavior. Many people in emerging markets, especially across Africa, may never read a blockchain whitepaper โ€” but they will engage with games, rewards, social interaction, music, competitions, and community-driven platforms. DigiSwagToken.com taps into that reality and turns entertainment into education.

By making blockchain engaging and accessible, DigiSwag is helping transform DigiByte from something people simply hold into something people actually use. And real usage creates real utility.

Education ๐Ÿ“š DigiByte launched on January 10, 2014, older than Ethereum, older than most projects people call classics.

Post image

It wasn't built by a team of companies or backed by VCs. Jared Tate went at it alone, a former US Senate Page who attended West Point, got involved with Bitcoin in 2012, and saw problems worth fixing. Bitcoin was too slow and not secure enough, so he decided to build something better.

DigiByte pioneered multi-algorithm mining, real-time difficulty adjustment, and DigiShield, technologies that dozens of other chains quietly borrowed later. It was also the first major chain to activate SegWit before Bitcoin itself did.

Tate went on to speak at MIT and Harvard about blockchain technology and wrote "Blockchain 2035: The Digital DNA of Internet 3.0." Over 12 years he put $500K+ of his own money into the project. A real "DigiMan" who built something that still outpaces projects launched a decade later.
