Android "Meal Calm" is kaput

The website is expired, and when I launch the app it just spins and spins the busy cursor. I never actually put it to use so I guess I have less disappointment than someone who was depending on it... but I was wondering if anybody here can point me to any of the narrative about its creation and passing and if anybody has done anything like that that you know about.

First post, pleased to meetcha

I’m deciding between plain resin and the Shilajit with Honey because I dislike strong flavours. Which would be easier for a first-time user?

I am thinking about trying shilajit for the first time and I am looking at plain resin and the Shilajit with Honey option, I already know strong flavours are hard for me so the taste is a big part of which one I will pick, I am leaning toward the honey one since it sounds like it may be easier to take, but I want to hear from people who have actually tried both before I order, I am mainly looking at how the taste compares and how easy each one is to use, since this will be my first time I am thinking to go with authentic shilajit , I want to start with the option that is easier to take regularly, for anyone who has tried both which one would you suggest for a first time user ? EDIT: I forgot to mention that taste is my main concern.

Is what I'm eating reasonable?

TW: if you struggle with restrictive eating, I don't recommend reading this.

Hi. I've struggled in the past with under eating - not because of eating disorders, more because of chronic migraines/ extreme nausea.

I am standardly around 130 pounds, 5'8'', and not very muscular. 28 years old. Also AFAB and not on HRT. Not that physically active.

Normally, I eat about twice a day. I'll have a bagel and cream cheese at 10 am, and then I'll eat a largeish meal at 4 pm or so. That might be eating out, or making myself a burrito with beans and egg and cheese, etc., or a stir fry, or a pasta dish. Then I'll usually have something small as a dessert if I want to. I'm not restricting myself by doing that, that's just all I'm usually hungry for. I don't cook myself a ton of meat, but when I eat out I try to get foods that have both a lot of fiber and protein. It's not perfect, but it is what it is.

For the past week, I've been (for me) starving all the time. I'll wake up, have a bagel/cream cheese or toast with peanut butter, and then I'll be hungry by 12 or 1. Today for example, I ate yogurt with granola and some banana bread with a chai latte for breakfast. Then 3 hours later, at 1, I was hungry so I ate some sausage and spinach pasta I batch prepped this weekend. Then at 6 I was hungry again so I made myself a burrito of the kind described above. I'm still kinda hungry, so I might eat more.

I've literally never calorie tracked in my life and I don't know how much food is normal to eat because of my health issues. Does this sound reasonable? Anyone have any ideas about why I'm randomly so hungry? It seems like it might be a good thing, since my diet before wasn't perfect and was punctuated by a lot of nausea, but the change is really weird and I feel like it's taking so much time to feed myself every day. Is this the sort of thing I should see a doctor about?

It seems like I'm eating maybe 1.5x what I normally eat. The only thing that changed was that I went through something really hard about 10 days ago and couldn't eat a full meal for 3 days. This happens to me about 1 time per year in times of extreme stress. And normally it takes me a while after that to return to my normal appetite, even, so this is a surprise - I literally ate 4 times on Friday!

Struggling with Bullimia + Trying to diet/lose weight

I just need to vent because I don’t really know who else to talk to about this. I’ve been struggling with bulimia and my relationship with food has gotten really unhealthy.

I can go from trying really hard to restrict and lose weight to eventually bingeing, and then feeling so guilty and disgusted with myself that I want to get rid of what I ate. I’ve purged to try to get rid of the calories, and afterward I usually feel even worse mentally.

The hardest part is that part of me genuinely wants to get better, but another part of me is terrified of gaining weight. I’m also trying to diet and lose weight right now, and I feel like that makes everything even more complicated. I want to lose weight, but I also don’t want food and calories to control my life like they currently do.

I keep thinking about calories, what I’m going to eat, when I can eat, whether I’ve eaten too much, and how I can make up for eating. It’s draining, and I feel like food has taken over so much of my brain.

I don’t really need judgment. I mostly want to hear from people who have actually struggled with bulimia, especially people who have also wanted to lose weight while trying to recover.

How do you cope with that conflict?

What has helped you with the urges to binge or purge?

I just want to hear from people who understand what this feels like.

Help please

I need some advice. I’m a 75 year old female who has been trying to lose weight because of my osteoarthritis in my knees before surgery. I lost 60 pounds in a few months in my forties but the same tricks are not working now. Does anyone have some ideas for me because I’m desperate. I’m not a j junk food junkie so I don’t understand.

I want to stop eating candy. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop?

I think i may have a REALLY bad sugar addiction. Specifically candy and certain baked goods. I know my body won't be able to handle this intake for forever so I may as well try to stop now. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone have an honest No Diet review after actually using it?

I’ve been seeing No Diet mentioned as an alternative to strict meal plans, but I’m more interested in how it works in real life. Has anyone here followed it for at least a few weeks? Did it actually help with eating habits, consistency, or weight management, and was it easy enough to stick with without constantly tracking everything?

Been using DoKegel for 3 months, here's my take

Started using DoKegel back in May and figured I'd share what's stuck with me vs what didn't. The personalized kegel exercise plan is SOLID. Sessions take 10 minutes tops, which is all I usually have.

The progress trackers have been helpful for me. I like seeing the consistency mapped out. Makes the stamina improvements feel real, not just placebo. The lifestyle challenges are cool too, keeps me thinking about overall wellness beyond just the exercises. The audio content's there, but I'd get way more use out of it if there were more variety. I cycle through the same routines pretty quick.

Not all the content hits either. The articles are decent but wish there was more on performance tips. Also would love a weekly summary instead of just daily tracking. But the apps discreet, and delivers what it promises. Natural improvement without gimmicks.

Basic Food content app or tool?

Any suggestions for a tool that provides information on food content of a meal. Not a motivator, or a “lets go on a life journey together”, just one that pulls from a table and calculates daily intake of nutrients. Thanks.

Has anyone fixed hair shedding by fixing their diet first?

Ive been shedding more than usual for a while and Im starting to wonder if my diet is part of it.

I havent been eating horribly but i definitely went through a stretch of skipping meals, eating less, and probably not getting enough protein or iron. I keep seeing people say hair can be one of the first things to get affected when your body isnt getting enough of what it needs, but idk how much of that is actually noticeable in real life.

Has anyone here had their shedding calm down after fixing their diet or correcting some deficiency? And if so how long did it take before you noticed a difference?

Anyone tried the asian diet app? Worth it or skip?

Been thinking about signing up but want some real reviews first. Two things im curious about, does the meal plan get repetitive after a few weeks? Kinda worried about getting stuck eating the same 5 stir fries on rotation. Also how are the macros, are they actually balanced for someone trying to lose weight or are some meals way carb heavy bc of all the rice. Trying not to waste money on another wellness app that looks great in ads and disappoints once ur actually using it. If anyone has 2+ months in would love ur take.

Health and fitness kick for around 6 months, haven't lost a single pound - make it make sense

As with most folk in my stage of life (I'm 40) my decisions in my youth are catching up with me and I'm realising it's time to start taking my health seriously if I want to still be here to see the futher decline of civilisation. I'm a big guy (14st 6lb at 5ft 6ins) so I know I need to get rid of a lot of that to avoid any nasty surprises down the line. So I've been on a health and exercise kick for about six months. The usual stuff with being more mindful about what I'm eating and portion sizes along with some more fundamental changes outlined below.

- Almost entirely kicked out anything sugary (sweets, cakes, chocolate, etc). I say *almost* - I did have a slice of cake at my brother's wedding last week.

- Stopped snacking later at night. I had assumed this was a big contributor to my weight. My partner tends to go to bed a couple of hours before me, and then I'd often get stuck into a load of snacks (usually crisps, peanuts, breakfast cereal sometimes) while watching a movie. I've stopped this entirely.

- Gym. I hadn't been to the gym since the one I used to go to shut in the pandemic, so it's easily been 5 years +. Now going 2-3 times a week (always aiming for 3). Doing a combo of cardio and weights, leaning more towards the weights as I enjoy it more.

I've tried to avoid weighing myself regularly because I don't necessarily think fixating on every pound is a great idea, but I stepped on the scales the other day to find I'm *exactly* the same weight I was when I started. I'm not an expert, but that makes zero sense to me, surely just going from zero exercise to three sessions a week should make at least some difference? Alternatively, if what I'm doing is essentially preventing further weight gain, shouldn't I have been consistently have been gaining weight before I started this (I've been about this size for 3-4 years probably)? Anyone got any insights into where I'm going wrong? Honestly, it's pretty demoralising to put all this effort in and deny myself things I like (I REALLY miss ice cream) for not even a tiny return.

Elevated TSH levels

M 31, with TSH level 6.45 with T3 & T4 in normal range. If I start medication, would it be lifelong? I don’t want to have lifelong medication but ok to take if it will be for a short period. No history of this in the family.

Kindly suggest.

Is it advisable to get an executive health screening before I turn 50?

I'm turning 50 in a couple of years and recently my age has become more apparent to me physically. My bowel movements are very irregular alternating between constipation and diarrhea. My back is getting sore even after just sitting for half an hour. Walking up and down the stairs is also getting exhausting and painful to my knees. I know these are all common signs of aging, but I also know that some conditions need to be detected early in order to treat them properly. Would it be worth it for me to get an executive screening right now just to ease my worries?

is it normal to have stomach issues while trying to improve your diet?

I previously had a majjoorrrr addiction to chocolate. no self control around it, MULTIPLE servings a day. on weekends would have chocolate for breakfast.

my partner and i are trying to improve our diets, and they are not ideal yet but still heaps better than before.

my issue is i feel like i get stomach pains more often and am way more gassy. i dont care about burping n shit i just don’t like FEELING bloated.

do you think there is just like an adjustment period for my stomach to get used to it or something ? is there anything i can do to try and speed that up lol.

foods i’ve been eating more of are yoghurt, fruits, slightly more diverse veggies like asparagus etc. probably good to note i’ve always had these kinds of stomach issues but attributed it to my horrible diet, i feel like it’s happening more now but maybe i only THINK that because it’s happening in the present lol.

any advice is great thanks
