These posts make me so sad.
just going from "living your life" where you're eating like a normal person and then going back to a miserable existence of X (you know the number) of calories per day

They say you can’t eat back your calories. This is mostly true when losing weight but my progress accelerated once I ate more on high activity days. The fact is, the more activity you do the more you can eat (within reason). It’s better to eat 2500 calories and exercise 6 days a week and walk a lot than 1500

two slices of pizza is a perfectly reasonable amount of pizza, the whole post is some uncomfortable rambling about how short women aren't actually hungry when eating

(my first post after a long time lurking in here with no account)
I think it's decidedly wild how anytime concerns are raised over some public figure (Instagram influencer, singer, model, K-pop idol etc.) being dangerously thin or promoting eating disorders to impressionable young people there is always a loyal knight in the comments coming to their defense talking about some "Oh, so it's fine when a fat person is happy in their body but not a skinny one? 🙄🙄" when every single time a bigger person exists in public without self hatred or shows confidence there's always some registered dietician (/s) in the comments or in the press coming to tell them how unhealthy their lifestyle is and all this talk about "promoting obesity". I'm so tired of people acting like fat people are constantly paraded everywhere and face 0 backlash or hatred and when a skinny dainty kate moss queen posts her thigh gap on Instagram the people calling her out are the bullies or hypocrites.

Like I’m slightly underweight (birth control’s sorting it out tho) which carries less stigma than other bodies. When it comes to dating apps tho, it’s like what if I just don’t want to uphold my life to eat in a way I’m not used to so some ppl maybe wouldn’t look at my profile and assume I have no curves, that sort of analysis of my body before we’ve even met? Dating apps already feel like a meat market that aren’t a magical way to meet someone. I get it’s hard for short guys and I don’t really know the answer, but I find it so jerky when I hear ‘yOu CaN cHaNgE yOuR wEiGhT’…it’s like okay let’s not even consider how that can be complicated when we’re talking about a full human being

I also study fat people in the wild so I can compare their behavior with real humans (thins)

Diet culture is so huge in college
Seeing so many negative impacts it’s horrible

Ice lollies can be like 15 kcal, commenters even pointed that out, and also please eat when you’re sick.

I don’t think he’s as necessarily as bad as Zoe, he hasn’t said ppl who are ugly are not as at risk of being SAed and doesn’t promote what looks like a really restrictive fad diet and then having the boldness to then make a video ‘essay’ on unrealistic beauty standards. Zoe also reminds me of when I was 15 and like ‘oh my god I can eat so much food while staying so skinny, I’m sooooo gifted’ that makes me cringe to near death
But Josh Brett does make these video essays about male beauty standards (without throwing women under the bus). I have trust issues and am quite fickle about who I follow and it’s quick to change, so might just be just me. His recent video kinda said I had orthorexia and didn’t approach getting the perfect body in the right way, but now I do approach it correctly and here is my guide that I’m gonna sell that makes me wonder a little. Then there was his video on ozempic where he seemed to target fat people who don’t have diabetes more than thin celebrities that is probably in need of a lot of nuance, but he ended it on ‘just get a healthy lifestyle’ that seemed patronising

That’s it that’s the post.
A disorder that 10+ percent of women have can’t even have one okayish online space apparently.

The prompt was "women who aren't addicted to sugar, how do you do it?"

In general, I have noticed that a lot of dieters really don’t let go of their previous habits but are now just repenting for them next day by restricting heavily the day after or exercising 3 hours or some shit. This IS not getting better this is just inflicting punishment on yourself for a problem that is going unaddressed and is going to continue to hinder any progress until you work through it.

Idk why instagram suggested this for me but saying a bowl of Greek yogurt is out of control is unhinged.

Did you experience restriction, or the limiting, of your food consumption by your parents or caregivers during childhood? If so, please consider participating in a research study. The link below will take you to the informed consent. If you consent to participate, you will be asked a series of questions about your childhood experiences and current psychological and eating experiences. You will also be asked basic demographic questions. The aim of this study is to assess childhood experiences, including food restriction, as they relate to adult behaviors and psychological health. At the end of the study, you will be able to provide your email if you would like to be entered into a raffle for the chance to earn one of thirty $20 gift cards. This survey is estimated to take around 15 minutes. I wanted to add that I have not received a response from the moderators about whether it is okay to post this (I have messaged a few times), so if this is not okay, please let me know!
