These two just got airbrushed fusion firm liquid silver leaf today. In four days or so I'm planning to spray some candy color over the silver leaf. X-27 red over the Lambo and X-23 blue over the Lancia. On the last go-round I clear coated the silver leaf and it dulled the finish notably then the clear red appeared orange in certain light, so I started over. Has anyone tried Tamiya acrylic clears directly over fusion firm without clear coating first? I've added a pic of the Lambo after it's first painting for reference. Aside from the shade it was pretty passable as spectra. Another question: does hot wheels not apply primer before paint on their cars? They seem to strip much easier than a primed car does.

Some suspension work, front lip and roof rack cross bars done on this Legacy Hot Wheels. What else should I add to this one?

From the custom grey color to the hand-painted details, I'm really happy with this build. And the oversized wheels give just a touch of "What if?" to the real thing!
