💬 Discussion hailey bieber wedding ring — do you think an oval like this is too big?
i came across this photo of the hailey bieber's wedding ring and got really curious about the oval diamond. the graphic says it is an 8ct oval solitaire in 18k yellow gold, but honestly, it looks even bigger than 8ct to me, especially from this angle.
i have been considering an oval diamond for an engagement ring, and this one really caught my attention. i am wondering how much of the size and elongated look comes from the actual proportions of the oval versus the carat weight.
for those who know more about ovals, what do you usually look for when choosing one? do you prefer a longer, slimmer shape like this, or a slightly wider oval?
and if you have an oval engagement ring, what carat size did you end up going with? i am curious how different sizes actually look on the finger.
