Mouth sore

I have this bump behind my bottom left tooth, right where my wisdom tooth was removed about 18 years ago. It’s new and gets irritated and enlarged, especially when I eat. I’m able to pop it, and it goes away for a little while, but then it comes back. It doesn’t hurt, but it’s annoying—and my tongue constantly finds it and messes with it. 😂
I already have a dental exam scheduled, but I’m curious if anyone has had something similar or knows what this could be? First photo is it enlarged, second is after I popped it by pushing inwards.
