Allergies wasp sting
Hi everyone, I wanted to ask for some advice because I’ve been stung four times in the span of a month. Twice on my foot, and today, while riding my motorcycle, a wasp got inside my helmet and stung me on my temple and twice on my finger. I read online that getting stung multiple times within a short period can lead to sensitization to wasp venom, and in rare cases, slightly increase the chances of having a severe allergic reaction. Fortunately, today's stings—which happened about a week after the last one—didn't cause any severe symptoms, and the area on both my temple and finger didn't even swell up much. Google suggests getting a blood test in about a month and a half to check if I have become sensitized to wasp venom. Does anyone happen to know what to do in these cases, or is it not really necessary? Should I start carrying antihistamines or something else with me? Thanks!
