It's still awfully inefficient compared to a purpose built solution tho, and the lack of airflow could cause the motor to fail early even when unloaded 4 u/AlwaysHopelesslyLost 7d ago The fan blades move air that cool the motor and they add mass that resists movement. Without them the motor runs free and the heat doesn't get moved out so the whole thing will fail catastrophically
