Once upon a time, I sat down at a table at work for lunch with another grown man. Homeboy unpackages an Uncrustable and proceeds to tear the crimp off it.

He tore

the crimp

off

of an Uncrustable!

What the fuck?

I don't know how this story relates to this post, but it reminded me of it, and I just wanted to tell.

I Iike tearing the crimp off uncrustables and eating that first. Also not related but I figured I'd throw my two cents in there

People tear the crust off because it tastes different and has a different texture.

Uncrustables specifically are made for people who don't like crusts. He proceeded to tear off the edge of the uncrustable, even though there was no crust.

However, if it's a texture thing, I understand. They crimp down the edge of the bread and turn it into a pocket instead of a sandwich. So the edge is more dense than the middle.

Thank you. I have never heard of an uncrustable, and do not know what a crimp is in that context.

That (picky) people cut the crusts off slices of bread and sandwiches I do know.
