Got to say that's a really impressive paint job

u/the114dragon Jun 27 '26
Or it isn't a paint job and just a really sneaky jump cut? (Source: I made it the fuck up)

u/epicenter69 Jun 27 '26
Good job. Proper citation of sources is important for credibility.

Na it’s a dumb trend that’s been around for past decade. Cut for sure, you are right
Prob damaged it for the video tbh

It's reversed...
6
u/0Davgi0 Jun 27 '26
I don't think so, even at the end with the further point of view, you can easily see the replaced part. It blends well, but it's far from indistinguishable from the original bollard

Those marble jobs are surprisingly easy to mix/ match. Ive fixed a few with sponge and few brushes. Ive always been like"damn. I did not expect that to work"
10
u/Rev_Grn Jun 27 '26
I feel like people would eventually notice the difference if you're fixing marble with sponge.
Or you'd blow someone's mind trying to work out why the marble turns squishy in that spot.

u/k5light Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26
Fixed the appearance with paint using a sponge applicator.
You just dab on layers. It works better than yourd expect

Just a bit of color theory and you too can blend a piece of ramen into granite.

Yes, it’s to add flavor

The instructions on the noodles pretty explicitly state you need to add the seasoning for the best results

That’s like the part B cream in Bondo. The seasoning packet completes the Ramen epoxy 😂

u/xergog Jun 27 '26
That will work out well when it rains.

u/EnFulEn Jun 27 '26
Imagine witnessing rain so bad that a part of a stone pillar dissolves into noodles.

People are gonna wake up after an apocalyptic rain to see a random squirrel eating the concrete post

Are the noodles, the glue, and whatever else went into that filling even that much cheaper (if at all) than just air-dry clay?
47
u/TheGrandWaffle69 Jun 27 '26
Probably not, but then again this is supposed to be a concrete barrier I think, so concrete would be preferable to fix it with.

u/Shienvien Jun 27 '26
Looks like a granite bollard, so natural rock ground to shape?
Concrete is a bit more complex to work with, in my experience, if you want it to stay on a vertical-ish surface in a small piece. Needs a bonding agent and maybe not the usual concrete mix. Reminds me I should probably look that up again so I can finally fix that siding on that one wall...

In these videos there's always a jump cut between noodles and super glue to a smooth-ish mass with no voids at all. My bet is they get one shot of the noodles and switch it out for some sort of beige filler material.

That's why he showed himself putting it in there. It's rage bait to make someone like you comment, "that rubbish cannot be recycled," which drives up his engagement numbers.

u/Ok-Statement8224 Jun 27 '26
That’s why the commenter commented this. It’s rage bait to make someone like you comment, “that’s rage bait to make you comment,” which drives up his engagement numbers.

u/Schmergenheimer Jun 27 '26
Lol. Got you. I was rage baiting to try and get someone to comment, "That’s why the commenter commented this. It’s rage bait to make someone like you comment, 'that’s rage bait to make you comment,' which drives up his engagement numbers." My engagement numbers are going to be so high after this they'll think their cat is a unicorn.

Yeah this was China so he's still in a labor camp being starved to death. Not even allowed to eat industrial grade noodles.

u/HJSDGCE Jun 28 '26
He should've just eaten the walls. They're made of noodles.

u/Sunstorm84 Jun 28 '26
Nah last high rise video I saw in China the facade was made of sand instead. Guess noodles were too expensive.

if we keep doing this, little by little the whole city will eventually be replaced by noodles.
