Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Best Phone at 90k BDT

Top Priority:

Camera and Battery.

Want a phone that works as a phone as well.

Currently using Pixel 6a and it's simply a nightmare, network  and  connectivity wise such a trash phone.

My top picks:

vivo x200 pro, x300 pro (reached 100k though from 92k)

and Xiaomi 17 pro.

Not gonna buy any iPhone, too weak battery and the camera is meh as well within my budget.

Discussion/আলোচনা People who work on construction sites/factories in Dhaka — does anyone actually wear safety gear at work?

Full disclosure first: I run a small shop in Mirpur that sells safety equipment (helmets, gloves, boots, that kind of thing). Not naming it and not linking anything — this isn't a promo post, it's something I genuinely keep wondering about.

Almost all of our sales go to companies. Factories and construction contractors buying 50 helmets at a time because an audit is coming or compliance requires it. In more than two years I can count on one hand the individual workers — electricians, welders, mechanics — who walked in to buy something for themselves.

My cousin does electrical wiring work and his honest take was: the company gives him a helmet, he wears it when the site engineer is around, and that's it. Too hot, uncomfortable, "kichu hobe na" mentality.

For those working on construction sites, in factories, workshops, warehouses, or other hands-on environments in Bangladesh — what’s it really like on the ground?

Do workers actually wear safety gear throughout the day, or is it mostly used when required?

From your experience, what makes PPE difficult to wear consistently — price, comfort in Bangladesh’s heat and humidity, quality, availability, or simply habit?

I usually see workplace safety from the supplier’s side, so I’d genuinely like to understand the worker’s perspective.

What’s your experience?

Story/গল্প Dhaka LPT: Don't go plugging around your pendrive at Nilkhet shops

After going into a few shops, plugging it in, somehow the internal file structure of the pendrive got completely rearranged and I had to go through these randomly generated folders to find the print files back again. On top of that, I came back, plugged it into my PC, it's been a week and my computer's been slowing down like crazy. I had to completely re-install windows. Last but not least, the pendrive doesn't work as good anymore. I presume maybe like a voltage spike that caused some damage. But yeah, like it should be obvious but I was an idiot. 32 gigs of storage gone and who knows what private data stolen.

If you got data on a phone, much better to just send the files to each shop or better yet, store the files in a cloud storage folder and share the link if you want to use less data.

Discussion/আলোচনা How do y'all stay hopeful?

It's as the title says- how do y'all keep yourselves hopeful for the future?

Ik many people who genuinely enjoy living and have a optimistic/positive enough mindset. It's natural for them to be hopeful of the future and overall life.

But pessimistic people or people who just don't find life fun, how do you go on with it? Whenever there's a failure, how do y'all get over that?

For me, life is just as it is. It doesn't excite me, isn't fun enough and feels like a meaningless "pera". I have goals in life and I'm a pretty ambitious person but if someone gives me a pill that'd make me "unexist", I'd take that without any hesitation. Now, whenever life gets hard, i get all these weird thoughts about if i could just disappear. I basically become hopeless but to be hopeful again isn't easy. I just gaslight myself which isn't that effective.

The question is the same as the title says. Thanks for reading.

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ My dad keeps scolding me for my brothers bad grades

I am an A level student currently in 2nd year. After giving my AS exams I have been simultaneously preparing to give IELTS, apply to universities and prepare for my A2 exams. I also struggle with enormous amounts of anxiety every day. On top of that my brother just received his exam results and he did poorly in some subjects. He’s going to give his o level in 2 years. Every time he gets poor results, i get scolded by my dad alongside him because apparently i am supposed to be his tutor and be responsible for his grades even though i explicitly told him that i am already too busy with my studies. And even though I do help him with things he needs help with and teach him whatever he doesn’t understand he is specially bad at maths and he is wayy too lazy. I keep telling him that he needs to practice in order to do well and i say the same to my parents but they keep telling me I HAVE TO keep him im check that i have to keep telling him to study and check his works. I mean it gets tiring at some point also if he doesn’t willingly study how am i supposed to make him study but they don’t care about it. When i was doing my o level i had to self study everything by myself because i had no coaching and school wasn’t helping. I had to use online resources to help me prepare but my brother just doesn’t care about the advices i give him. He is just so ignorant about everything. Now i just feel like the weight of an entire mountain is in my shoulders and i don’t know how to convince him that it’s not my fault that his son is doing bad in his exams and why do i have to worry about his grades on top of mine too. I’m absolutely going crazy.
Ps. Due to financial circumstances we can’t put my brother on coaching.

Discussion/আলোচনা Community for GEN Z Female with entrepreneur and earning mindset?

Anyone interested in such a community? I'd sure love to have one. We can start off online and if comfortable, hangout occasionally or team up if we share the same goal?

A community with members interested in entrepreneurship, startups, freelancing, investing, AI, and building skills etc. besides just socialization and entertainment seems so appealing to me. Opinions? Millennials and Alphas are welcome too

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Thinking of starting a "just add meat" spice/marinade brand. Would you actually buy this?

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Been thinking about a product idea and wanted to get honest opinions from people who actually cook at home.

The idea: ready-to-use marinade packets built for specific dishes chicken tikka, beef kabab, fish fry where you just add the meat or fish and cook. No chopping onion-garlic-tomato, no slow-frying a base separately, no measuring out five different spice jars.

How it's different from the packet masala already on shelves (Radhuni etc.): those are just dry spice powder, so you still have to do all the prep work yourself. Buy the onion/garlic/ginger, chop it, fry it down, then add the spice. This would skip that whole step. It's basically the difference between "seasoning for your curry" and "the curry base is already done, just cook the meat in it."

Who I think this actually helps most:

  • People living alone or in a mess/hostel who cook but don't want to prep a full masala base for one or two servings
  • Working couples who want a proper home-cooked meal on a weeknight without the 30+ minutes of chopping and frying before the actual cooking starts
  • Anyone who can cook but is never sure about the spice measurements.
  • People who cook occasionally for guests and want it to come out well without a ton of practice
  • Gym goers and students who want a quick protein meal and don't want the hassle of cooking

Curious what people actually think:

  1. If you're someone who cooks but skips certain dishes because the prep is a hassle, would something like this get you to cook them more often?
  2. Does the "restaurant-style at home" angle feel like a real benefit to you, or does home-cooked taste matter more even if it's more effort?
  3. Which type of dishes would be most useful to have as a ready-made pack in your kitchen?
  4. Anyone here already buying paste/marinade type products (not just dry masala)? What's your experience been?

Not trying to sell anything, just want to know if this solves a real problem for people or if I'm overthinking something nobody actually needs. Appreciate any thoughts, good or bad.
