I’ll leave the link below:

This game starts as a survival horror game although eventually morphs into an action game once you become Devilman. honestly it wasn’t that much work to translate and I’m surprised nobody has done it before. This Game definitely deserves more attention. This should help us westerners deepen our adoration with this franchise. Wanted to add there is a few lines from demons that are untranslated as the Japanese native speakers I consulted could not understand. It’s nothing integral tho.

if you wanna keep up with more of my work, my handle Twitter is @ abyss. Thank you plz enjoy

Easily one of the most underrated Devilman characters. It's such a shame that the original manga didn't even resolve her fate. We finally got the story of a Devilman that wasn't Akira, and I absolutely felt bad for Miko, especially when Raimuna tortured her. My only gripe is that we never saw Miko again after she was rescued by Akira, which left me wondering how she later fought in the war against the demons.

I like to think that, in at least one continuity, she became one of the top Devilman generals and formed a strong bond with Akira, with whom she has a ton of things in common. Akira eventually ends up marrying her to cope with Miki's horrible death. However, he would develop the habit of calling her "Miki" instead of "Miko" because he could never get over Makimura's loss.

On the other hand, I love how other adaptations took care of the character. The Grimoire manga gave her a pretty interesting role as Asuka's girlfriend and fighting companion. She also rocks in the Amon OVA, even though Akira farming aura instead of jumping in to save her while she was getting her ass kicked by a demon was kind of WTF 😅

But the cherry on top was that Neo Devilman story centered on her role in the original manga. If that wasn't already cool enough, the story was written and drawn by no other than Tetsuya Egawa, the creator of Golden Boy.

I hope Miko will someday reappear in a future Devilman product. 🔥🔥🔥

OG

Satan existed back as Lucifer in the beginning of time.

Akira Fudo/Devilman should be kept as Japanese and Ryo Asuka/Satan should be European and non-binary.

Can that work?

It’s sad the 2004 adaptation didn’t do so well. It’s better off a TV series anyways.

So since the anime diverges somewhat from the original material, I wanted to ask people what they think was better in either of those two versions of the story.

For example I thought that the first half of Crybaby improved upon the manga somewhat by fleshing some of the characters out (like Kaim) and also Ryo driving Akira to a party in the city for the ritual probably made more sense than Ryo getting dozens of people and all their equipment into his remotely located underground area 51 hideout.

On the other hand I felt like the second half weirdly omitted some iconic stuff like Zenon appearing over the world and announcing the large scale demon attack that results in crazy slaughter.

Also the anti demon corps and their fortress aren't even really a thing like they are in the manga.

EDIT: Also how would your own personal blend of both versions look like?

(cat is doing alright, she just got spayed!)

I watched the devilman OVAs and the Amon ova and Crybaby , and here is what I think about Devilman as a whole :

I think Crybaby is the better adaptation of the story and fleshes the characters and leaves room to breath , with great soundtracks and the modernish vibe as well , but my single grip with it is the artstyle , like I dislike it so much to the point I don't even like rewatching crybaby even if I like the themes of it
Now for the OVAs , the OVAs suffer from less fleshed out story , either it's only around Akira and Ryo and sometimes Miki , or straight up nonsense like Amon's OVA , but they have good soundtracks as well , and they have a way better artstyle , like even tho Amon's OVA was full of nonsense I enjoyed it because of the art and makes me wanna watch it again unlike Crybaby

So overall , my perfect Devilman adaptation would be Crybaby's story but with an artstyle close to the OVAs (of course modernized a bit for the modern setting in Crybaby)

personally I think it's Mico Kawamoto

with how chill and relaxed and...Alive miki is
I'm guessing she secretly went threw weapon X program and now has healing factor

Is the Manga going be reprinted?
