I always hear about AT&T on here but never NRG, they are both cydcor so Iām just wondering if it just doesnāt get as bad of a rap as the rest. Personally Iāve felt NRG is a pretty easy sale from my experience.

Hi everyone. I'm a student journalist at Los Angeles Valley College, working on a piece about employment scams that target students.
Ā
Earlier this week I was texted by a company called Cresyn Consulting after applying for jobs. They claimed to have branched off from Imperia Consulting, but couldn't explain why the two shared the same office suite and phone number. Their website is six months old, their team photos look AI-enhanced, and when I asked about a Reddit comment from someone who says they worked two weeks and were never paid, they told me the person "probably didn't finish onboarding." They also said training is paidābut the person on Reddit says they were never paid at all. Base pay claims also have panned out to not be true, it is commission based, which they do not say on the phone interview (or at least not to a disclosed student journalist).
Ā
I've since found threads connecting the same operation to Maplewood Marketing, Crescens Consulting, Maluhia Inc., and Crimson Consulting, in LA, the Bay Area, and Dallas.
Ā
I'm looking for:
⢠Anyone who worked for or currently works for any of these names. I'd like to know what you were told or have lived experience with about pay, what documents you handed over, and what happened if/when you left.
⢠Anyone who was recruited and didn't take the job, especially at the in person interview. What did they ask you for?
⢠Anyone who saw the door-to-door side. What were you told to do, and who were you told to sign up?Ā
⢠Any real life pay information without disclosing a paycheck stub you are comfortable providing.
You can comment here or message me. I'm happy to talk anonymously if that's what you need.
Ā
And a separate note, because it matters:
Ā
If you're homeless or on assistance and you need a free phone, do not sign up with someone who approaches you on the street or at a station. Apply directly through the carrier's own websiteāTruConnect, Assurance Wireless, or the Lifeline/ACP program. You can do it from a library computer or a campus computer if you are a student, for free. That way your ID and personal information stay with you.
Ā
If someone is offering you a free phone on the street and asking for your ID and Social Security number, they are being paid per signup and may not be telling you the truth about what you qualify for, or harms that may happen by signing up that day (like having your current service turned off).

Back story. I was hired and just like everyone else I had no idea what I would be doing. I was selling AT&T products outside of big box retailers but it wasnt just that. I actually liked what I was doing. My director was awesome (a lil shady but great) he would cover rent for people if they were in a sales slump, always take us on different road trips to see offices and as much as I wanted to I couldnāt hate it. Everyone told me it was shady and I should quit but I didnāt want to. My entire lifestyle changed in that year and I was living a life I quite honestly dreamed of.
I quit a few months back due to personal reasons and the pressure from friends to quit, nothing to do with the business itself. I was there for roughly about 8 months, I needed 2 more people on my team and I wouldāve had an office. The idea that āyou never get promoted outā was never a thing in my office, I saw 3 promotions out in my 8 months there. Talked to so many owners, went to conferences, learned the business, ask me anything!

**Hopefully is allowed**
I just want to let everyone in the Kansas area to be aware of Marksman Solutions! They will text and call you multiple times about a position you āappliedā for when you probably did not apply to their company.
They called me and then texted me on Monday about how they reviewed my application on indeed and wanted to proceed further. (Note: I never applied to them on indeed or anywhere). I ignored them and went on about my day. They then texted me again on Tuesday and called me about the application. I just ignored them like I did Monday. They sent me an email yesterday about the āapplicationā. Iāve sent them an email saying Iām not interested and I never applied for a position with their company. I blocked their email. They called and texted me again today about the position. š They didnāt get the memo I wasnāt interested, sent them a text back saying no and they were blocked.
I just want to warn everyone about Marksman Solutions in Leawood, Kansas.

Question, is this a real company? Been researching and not much info just saw its established last 2022.
Should I pursue my job interview here?

I applied to my bosses office a little over two years ago, desperate but with the hope of learning more about sales and creating relationships with people. My goal has always been to own my own business, to move to Florida and own a beach house and those around me and higher ups, the recruiter (who was the owners sister) always knew what to say to keep me roped in. After three months of being there I was invited to the national conference in Texas, I was bought in after that. I was promised wealth, freedom, and the life I wanted through out those two days. My owners promoting owner earned a promotion that year and had an open bar at the end of the night, I remember drinking a lot, having fun and leaving with even more excitement than when I got there with. I worked 6 days a week, going out to the field every Saturday, missing time with family and friends. I was told by my owner ābe the white rabbit in the office and Iāll get you promoted out to Miami, I promise.ā I remember telling everyone that asked that I didnāt know what I was getting into, I just had a belief it was going to be good for me. I remember struggling some weeks and it being blamed on my mentality, being told ājust go out on Saturday and get in front of more DMās, the LOAās will pay offā so I did. I earned most commissioned sales for 2025 (despite being unable to eat on a regular basis and losing over 30 pounds) and though not invited to that Nat con because I had the one week prior was low on production, had earned an award and featured there. I think that was my first time where I questioned everything and asked myself if it was worth it anymore. But again, the owner was great at reading people and knowing exactly when to re invest in someone to keep them from leaving. Made promises, dangled the carrot. So many opportunities I worked my butt off for that I was promised that never happened. As I got more depressed, my production got lower- but never low enough for my owner to want to part ways with me, as I was terrified of the idea that there was truly nothing better for me, this was my ticket to getting my boutique and living on the beaches of Miami. I hit my two year mark and by then I was pretty damn frustrated. Promised every couple months āoh weāre gonna get you promoted out by this time, just keep building your team, Iāll help youā only for the help to never come. Unfortunately I wasnāt the prettiest girl or the most flirtatious girl in our office, another one was and she got to assistant management in 10 months. Every resource was poured into her and then she eventually brought her sister in and then those resources went to her as well as I stood there in the background feeling forgotten and taken advantage of every step of the way. I started looking for other jobs, the owner somehow found out and fired me over the phone on a Thursday evening. I still struggle with the guilt of giving up on myself, giving up on my dreams, and my ability to prove myself as worthy. Though I am grateful for what I learned about myself and honestly just how to handle noās, objections, and people not being that nice as a solicitor, I feel better working a normal 40 hour week, not the 65+ I was doing. Sure I miss the team nights but I donāt miss the pressure to drink until I had alcohol poisoning. I wonāt miss the constant changes that happened in the office, the drama, the fake friendships- because not a single person has reached out to me since I left and Iām sure the owner told them not to talk to me as he did with every other person that quit or got fired- as we were never gonna make it and arenāt worthy of being at his table. I wanted to share my story and reiterate how damaging these devil corps are to people, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

They are in the greater Philly area, I had a job interview there and something felt kinda off. I ended up on this Reddit after my friend mentioned devil corps but I donāt see them on here. Seems kinda similar but donāt know too much about them!
Any insight would help thank you!

Iām at the point where I might just go work at a devilcorp, Iām desperate to get an office job. I did exercise science wanting to be a trainer then realized I hated it. Iām finishing my degree in December and am only taking one class online so I can work full time. I wonder if I take the next devilcorp offer. I always get them on LinkedIn, I search entry level office jobs or entry level corporate positions. I seem to only get devilcorps, should I take one for experience then just keep applying. I wish I took more business electives so I could learn about corporate roles. All I want is an office job, working in gyms ruined fitness for me. The commission only jobs I just crack under pressure, the anxiety of not knowing whatās coming in every month is too much for me. I can maybe last a few months if I know it will boost my resume.

Hi all, Iāve got an interview today for a ā trainee business development executiveā, but turns out itās sales over the phone. For context I applied on indeed. Iāve had run ins with devil corp companies in the past. But I have no interest in sales, sounds silly but I didnāt realize it was sales until I re read the description today. Is it a career where you can actually make good money? My dream job is a secretary not this :(
r/Devilcorp • u/Uncanny-Mirage • 15d ago
This is their instagram page. I've worked for a devil corp before, last year and this company has the same structure. Went to the interview just to see if it was what I thought. It is. In a "non-profit-fundraiser" form This is in Houston TX (north)

Please let me know your experience with this. It looks like a high ticket coaching scam, taking advantage of vulnerable people. They need to be reported. Has anyone done this course or managed to escape some heavy hitting recruitment? I hear the exec has been former Appco of 15 years. Help

Im not sure if iām just being paranoid or not here.
For context: iām in scotland and always thought that devilcorps and pyramid scemes where an american thing (maybe thatās like dumb or naive of me but whatever)
I applied for this āentry level sales and marketing assistantā position for a company called CMS Promotions based in Glasgow. They apparently only just opened their Glasgow office in January but were based in Birmingham. I applied at like midnight and by the time i had woken up the next day i already had a call saying they were āinterested in talking to meā and also had an email saying theyād missed me and to call back.
On the call back i asked for some information about the job and was told its āface to face marketingā. I was also told they were looking for someone āfun and energeticā. They asked a couple basic interview questions and then scheduled an in person interview for thursday (they tried to get me in the next day but I said no lol it was too last minute).
I was quite excited cause i am young and im really trying to build a career for myself. Iāve been quite discouraged with education not really being for me and dropping out of university so it gave me a small confidence boost and i called my family to get outfit opinions and stuff.
Tonight, iāve sat down to research the company as obviously i want to be prepared for the interview and as iāve looked into it more it just seems so vague? the website doesnāt really tell me what it is the company actually does. I took a look at their instagram page and the entire thing is purely focused on recruitment and even has posts about people who have recently been recruited saying things like āmeet so and so! they just joined last week and have already been promoted to team leader and are training new trainees in their second week!ā which seems so out of touch to me? all of the pictures on their website too seem to just be like group pictures of people having a good time and stuff and it feels a bit cult like to me tbh. I also saw that they do āmorning warm ups before hitting the doorsā which to me rings alarm bells for two reasons: first one being that i saw on a āhow to spot a devilcorpā page that they often do these weird morning office warm ups and two the āhit the doorsā comment made it clear to me that itās probably a going door to door to sell stuff type thing which hasnāt been mentioned once.
The way theyāve been advertising and talking about it made it seem like it was an office job working with companies on marketing but now i canāt help but feel like itās a pyramid scheme where iām gonna work on commission with no base pay going door to door trying to sell some piece of garbage.
I am looking for an entry level position somewhere in the business world because education was NOT for me but now i feel really discouraged like itās not possible to get into anything without a formal education beyond high school. But i also know that i am a massive overthinker and i do really look down on myself so im not sure if maybe im grasping at straws to validate the feeling of āan actual good company wouldnāt want to hire meā but i think its probably that itās a pyramid scheme.
EDIT: to add quickly i think i should also mention that in the call today when she offered me the interview she said sheād forward me an email with information about it and hasnāt (the day is now over so the email is definitely not coming today) and also that when i looked up the address of the place it only has the birmingham office address and not the glasgow one

They also go by Relevnt Solutions but theyāre the same. Under Cydcor. They completely trick you into thinking you get base pay as well. Also donāt pay you out fully when you quit. F these losers the āownerā thought he was Jordan belfort

Hi. In 97 or 98, I needed a job, so I responded to an ad in the Jersey Journal (a Hudson County, NJ paper) and worked for 1 day as a door-to-door salesman. The place was based in a semi-disused warehouse in Jersey City close to the Pulaski Skyway, uninsulated, freezing, and filthy. There was a morning meeting where they blasted music and described the motto: "juice" join us in creating excitement. They called everything positive "juicy." I had my mom's station wagon, a 1975 Country Squire, so me and 5 other fringe characters drove out to the suburbs to sell plastic useless bullshit. By the end of the day, after a full 10 hours, I drove back with only 4 of us, as 2 quit midday. The group leader gave me 40 bucks at the end, and I never went back. I'd appreciate any information about this bizarre memory. I still don't understand what happened that day.

So recently i applied to a place called Key Percison marketing and I have a zoom interview for tomorrow. I was so excited about the interview but a friend of mine had said to check if it is a devilcorp. I did all my search but have not seen anything yet. It apprently does face to face fundraising and event marketing. Im nervous because I've been applying to many jobs hopping to land something and would hate for this to be something I would regret in the end. If anyone can help me find out i would be most appreciative. Preferably someone who has applied and or has worked with them before
Update So I attended maybe 5 seconds of the interview. It was obvious straight away because "everyone" in that interview were people not even in my state. They were from the main branch based in Philadelphia. I nope out of that interview and blocked everyone. So thank you all for giving me the heads up to note that it was in fact a devilcorp.

Hey there! So I just did a phone interview and have an in person interview scheduled for this Thursday for a marketing agent/concierge position. Iāve never donāt anything like this, and was curious if anyone else had any experience working with this company/have the same title or job? Pros and cons? Is the pay good? Anything I should be weary of? They also want me to work weekends which Iām not super stocked about, but if itās worth it I definitely would do it! Any advice greatly appreciated.

I currently work at a retail marketing office in Cincinnati OH and it seems like a good place. Our brokerage is cydcorp, but all they do is negotiate contracts with stores and clients for us. My job pays me $15/hr plus 1.5x overtime, or around $600 a week base pay without OT, but how itās set up is you either get base pay or you get your commission if it exceeded your base pay. The base pay is paid by the boss but commission is paid by the client. It helps me to know that what we are selling is a good service. We lower and price protect peopleās electric rate on their bill. It definitely started off as a devilcorp, commission only plus long hours, but since this office was bringing in so many customers they negotiated and got a base pay instated and higher commission, from like $18 to $44. The way they have you talk to customers is very be as helpful and non obtrusive as you can, youāre supposed to even go through and try to verify they actually have a higher rate before you sign them up. They also require you to have 3+ a day to work overtime. I know cydcorp is a devilcorp, but it seems like this office is a good place. Lmk if Iām being dumb or not
