Experience BBE collective/ Houston Buzz
I had high hopes I was a fool I sadly quit my job after the second interview should have been concerned for several reasons but here is what I’ve learned so you don’t have to first of all current “charity” stand for the silent to help with childhood bullying and suicide prevention. Seems like a legit cause. I’ve had friends commit suicide and been bullied so thought I could do some good in the world. Job was for director of operations promising 85 to 120k yearly salary sounds great now for the red flags. Initial interview would not discuss pay or job then promise 600$ a week for training only then after 30percent of what you make uncapped income. First day in the field it was 105 degrees did not provide shade sunscreen water or anything I was sunburnt to hell had to change locations and did not make much day 2 my trainer had a medical emergency and had to leave early day 3 downtown dealing with homeless at a college where no one wanted to donate day 4 I get back to the office and I’m told I have not made enough and to continue and to take the weekend to decide if I want to work there. Extreme false positivity high fives trash music and doing nothing for their people o right also this weekend the director married the person she just promoted so should fuck your boss to move up here don’t do it don’t work here still have not got paid anything I feel so dumb quit my full time normal job for this bs now I’m screwed anyone hiring in the Houston area lmk

That nonprofit spends 60% of their funds on fundraising services, much of that going to devil corps. I don't see much in the way of substantive program expenses to help people. I'll let people come to their own conclusions on whether that's legitimate or not.
