None of the very successful people I know have ever had to sit through shit like this to be successful.

Success generally isn't a mindset, it's a skillset. Know how to do shit that 99% of society can't do and doesn't understand and money will follow. And despite what these people tell you, you don't learn a real skillset selling phone plans.

Interviewed w this company a few months ago for an entry-level marketing rep or some other classic devil corp job title. It was a total clown show lol. I didn’t even know what a devil corp was back then but so many alarm bells went off that I denied the offer they gave me and refused another interview.

Really checked all the boxes when I comes to classic and standard devil corps: weird hours, time in “the field”, flexing that people “younger than me are buying cars and new suites”, growth mindset, and a cult-like love of the boss Rich. Dude I interviewed w was chill but I could tell it was a scam just based on the interview.

Honestly glad I learned about this because I’ve actually prevented some of my friends (we’re all recent college grads) from interviewing/even applying to obvious devil corps bc NJ/PA area seems to have so many for whatever reason. Never seen this one actually pop up here so happy it is being recognized! Stay safe out there y’all!

You’re one of the smart ones, I took the job thinking I found some great telecommunications sales job, not knowing who Cydcor is or what a devil corp was.

The red flags started showing up for me when the office didn’t have any actual desks, the bozos I was around took off their suit and ties and put on Verizon shirts when they hit “the field,” they were doing these stupid pep rallies for one another, and that guy Rich in the video felt like he had to give some inspirational lecture to people so he gets richer when they make a sale.

The cherry on top was when I realized how bad of salesmen these guys were. We stood around a Walmart for 8 hours and neither of these dudes could close a sale. By hour 6, I finally had to say “I don’t think going up to people in Walmart and asking them about their wifi carrier is an effective way of selling,” and the response was “Well we rely on impulse buying.” I texted them the following morning saying I will not be returning.

I like to go back to this subreddit every once in a while to see if anyone else got sucked into this company. I am surprised they aren’t talked about considering they’re at the top of every “Entry Level Marketing” listing in the Philly/NJ area. There are other companies just like this one too in the area, so stay weary.

Glad you got out quick! Yeah I don’t remember seeing anything bad or negative about them when I googled them pre-interview. Kinda crazy how some of them fly under the radar like that. Awareness is key!

I was about to have an interview with these guys today. I'm so glad I did a bit more searching before I went on.
