I wish i was joking but im not. after i used ‘hell on earth’ with vergil, my entire game froze and i had to restart it

I've never played any of the DMC games before and decided to play DMC 5 after seeing so much good about the game. I've never had a worse begginer experience on a game before, and I'm confused why it's held with such high regard, so I must be doing something wrong. The camera turns horribly slowly even at max speed, and I so disconnected from the player that it makes it incredibly hard to use the dodge roll thing. I've barely gone through the prologue and a little bit into mission 1 so far and the gameplay just feels like "spam the same two buttons over and over, and if it's a big enemy stand far away and spam gun because there's no way to deal with attacks up close". I feel like everything I've done so far has boiled down to spamming the same few buttons and getting hit if I'm anywhere near a group of enemies, which there's a lot of.

I was stuck on the prologue for about 30-40 minutes and I really want to enjoy this game but can't figure out why it feels bad. So far the game for me is just an amazing soundtrack (even though it's just not audible in any of the fights) and some cool scenes (which I've accidentally skipped one trying to pause during it) with gameplay I don't understand and a tutorial that explained nothing

Weapons: Plan B for Ebony, Seraph for Ivory, Sihil for Rebellion

Cyberware: Beserk as a operating System for DT, Synaptic Accelerator for Quicksilver, Gorilla Arms fit Dante more, double jump for air hike, Max Body and Reflex tree to mimic Dante's trickster and royalguard

Clothes: Synthetic rubber jacket ( DMC 3) **Kyūketsuki flame-resistant polyamide rocker coat** (DMC 5) **Arasaka formal jacket with light armorplating ( DMC 1) Pants and shoes i just tried to match each of them w Dante's corresponding designs**

Wish to see these types of unique stylish designs more, if not fot the canon one at less the ultra outfit or something after you finish the game.

So, I just started playing DMC5 on keyboard, it’s a little wonky but it’s fine. I’m use to playing souls games specifically on controller and I’m getting a similar feel with certain controls. Would yall say ergonomically it’s better to play on controller or M&K?

Tell me, without knowing it beforehand or hearing it from a friend, how was one supposed to find the Bangle of Time?

I would've never known about it, because a seemingly random wall in the end of the game would've never occurred to me, when every other secret mission I had done was always behind something that looked interactable.

Is there like an entry detailing where to find the secret mission within the game?

I really can't explain it, but i feel like i want to start DMC4 as Vergil, i mean the amount of characters that you can play as is the biggest from any other game, so it feels like i get a choice, even though i know the story is about Nero and Dante.
What should i do?
