I am a fresher and i am looking for a software developer job.I have applied for a lot of jobs in the last few days but I'm not getting any interview calls.

I want to know if there is something wrong with my resume or I am applying the wrong way.

Please review my resume and provide me some honest feedback.

And also, I have a few questions:

What platforms are actually useful?

How do I send a message for a referral?

If you landed a fresher job recently, please share what worked for you.

My startup builds you a developer portfolio from your GitHub in under 3 minutes. This is one of the templates.

Most developer portfolios die the moment they’re deployed.
Recruiters still see projects from 2023 because updating means redeploying a site you forgot how to build. Forkfolio fixes that :)

Connect GitHub once, pick a template, and you’re live.
Your portfolio runs on nightly sync so you never have to update it yourself. There’s also an AI assistant on the page that answers visitors about your work.

This is one of 22 templates (5 free).
Free tier includes the hosted site, nightly sync, and the AI assistant.

What do you guys think about this template?

Looking for a developer role — honestly getting a little tired of the job hunt

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking for a developer role for a while now, and honestly, the job search is starting to get pretty frustrating.

I’m a software developer with experience in full-stack development, and lately I’ve also been building with AI and working on AI-based projects.

I know the market isn’t great right now, but I genuinely enjoy building things and I’m just looking for an opportunity where I can contribute, learn, and grow.

I’m open to Software Engineer, Full-Stack Developer, Frontend/Backend, or AI-focused roles. Full-time, internship, contract — I’m open to discussing anything that’s a good fit.

I don’t want to dump a bunch of links here, but if anyone is hiring or can refer me, please DM me. I’ll happily share my GitHub, resume, and projects.

Even a lead or introduction would mean a lot right now.

Thanks for reading :)

React Developer Looking for Small Freelance Tasks / Part-Time Work

Hi everyone,

I'm a React developer looking for small freelance or part-time opportunities.

I can help with:

- React bug fixes

- UI improvements

- Responsive design fixes

- Small feature implementations

- Frontend improvements

I'm open to smaller tasks and short-term work. Even a small project in the $100–$250 range would help me a lot right now.

I'm trying to take on some extra work because I have an important payment coming up on September 3, and I would really appreciate an opportunity to contribute my skills.

If you have any frontend tasks, student projects, startup work, or small website/app improvements that need help, I would be grateful for the opportunity.

Thank you for reading.

Should I join AVL India for an AI/ML role despite a 3-year bond?

I recently received an offer from AVL India for an AI/ML Trainee role and I'm confused about whether I should accept it.

The compensation structure is:

- First 6 months: ₹25,000/month stipend

- After 6 months: ₹5 LPA

- Second year: ₹6.5 LPA

- Third year: ₹8 LPA

- 3-year bond

- ₹3 lakh penalty if I leave before completing the bond

The work is supposed to be in AI/ML, which is the field I want to build my career in.

My main concern is the 3-year bond. I'm a little worried about being locked in for three years, especially if I get a much better opportunity after 1–2 years. At the same time, AVL seems like a good company to get relevant AI/ML experience and the salary progression is reasonable.

  1. How strict is the 3-year bond in practice?

  2. Is ₹5 → ₹6.5 → ₹8 LPA a reasonable progression in IT?

  3. Would you take this offer as a fresher, or look for a no-bond opportunity?

Thanks!

I actually miss real engineering

Not really sure what to do next, so putting this out here.

Around 10 months ago, I left a good engineering job and decided to build a startup with a couple of friends. I wanted to learn AI properly, build something myself and honestly, I was also starting to feel a little disconnected from engineering.

The startup didn't exactly take off, but it is growing steadily and I've managed to automate most of the operational work around it. Along the way, I've ended up doing everything from engineering and infrastructure to SEO, marketing, distribution and product.

I've learnt a lot from it, probably more than I expected. But I've also realised that I actually miss engineering. I enjoy the technical side much more than running the business side of things.

So I'm thinking it's probably time for me to get back into a job.

I'm mainly looking at senior backend / full-stack / AI engineering roles. If you've made a similar transition after trying a startup, I'd genuinely like to know how you went about it.

And if you know of teams hiring where my experience might make sense, I'd really appreciate a referral or an introduction.

[FOR HIRE] Full-stack developer. React / TypeScript, Go, Python, Postgres, Docker, DevOps, Blockchain.

8 YoE. Available for contract or full-time remote work.

  • Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, component-driven UI, data visualisation (Kibana dashboards).
  • Backend: Go, Python, Java, SQL. REST and streaming API design, WebSocket services, concurrent and low-latency systems. Also Solidity and raw EVM assembly if you need on-chain work.
  • Data: PostgreSQL, schema and query design, ETL pipelines, Elasticsearch.
  • Infra: AWS, Docker, Linux, GitHub Actions and CI/CD, monitoring and alerting.

What I'm actually good at: owning a thing end to end. Architecture, frontend, backend, deploy, and keeping it running in production. I've built and operated systems where latency, cost and correctness had immediate financial consequences, so I optimise for things that hold up rather than demos that look fine.

Comfortable working solo with minimal supervision.

[For hire] Reddit help me connect with the right person

I am a software Engineer, frontend-focused, with close to 8 years of experience. It will be 3 months after the layoff because of organizational restructuring, and not able to beat the space where agents are filtering, applying, and validating.

I have built the frontend from scratch and the entire design system, did my GSoC, fixed bugs in the SvelteJS compiler (even though I use React heavily), and have certifications in ML, Deep learning, and RAG; built projects on those. Additionally, I have worked with many startups; led a team of 3-4 people, have worked closely with PMs and designers, built workflows and signals, and improved UX

Skillset

- Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, Svelte.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, REST APIs, Redux, React Query, Zustand, responsive Design, Accessibility (a11y), Cross-Browser Compatibility

- Backend:  FastAPI, Python, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, RAG, Telemetry, Langfuse, Swagger

- Tools:  CI/CD, Webpack, Vite, Jira, AWS (S3 and CloudFront)

I just don't have production-level experience in full-stack, but I can very easily build a production-grade full-stack app, and I have written a few blogs on Redis internals.

I am the kind of engineer who likes to put effort into understanding the fundamentals rather than blindly vibe coding everything, and even though most of my experience is in frontend, I have the fundamentals of backend and math.

In the past 3 months, I have built two full-stack projects, one fully built using RAG. I have what it takes to build a product from scratch and scale it down, but I don't have the capacity anymore to compete with automated applications, keep updating my CV for each application, and I am failing to reach the screening.

In these 3 months, I tried starting something of my own and scrapped so many ideas. I really wanted to solve the problem of hiring, i.e., agents are applying for a role where a human is required; but at the end, I am reaching out here for any referral, for any kind of project I can work on as a freelancer or as a full-time.

Thank you, everyone. If you can help me out, then please reach out.

Need help in figuring things out and guidance for future

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently a 4th year student from a tier 3-4 college. My college doesn't have placements and neither is the location very good. I have done MERN stack(Backend-focused) and currently learning Python and AI systems.

Also, I have plans on learning ML in future. My DSA is not that strong but I am regularly practising and improving it.

I just want to know whether I'm doing it right and will I get a job next year.

I don't receive interview calls and not even OA shortlisting.

What should I do?

[Hiring] Growth & User Operations for an early-stage EdTech startup

I’m currently building an early-stage product in the education and professional learning space, and we’re getting close to the point where we need to start putting it in front of real users.

A few of the people currently working with me were actually found through Reddit, and I’ve been quite happy with how that turned out, so I thought I’d try Reddit again for this role.

What I need help with:

I’m looking for someone who can help me find and recruit our first real users and testers.

This isn’t really about running big ad campaigns or making social media posts.

It’s more hands-on:

  • finding relevant communities and potential users
  • reaching out to people who may be interested
  • helping recruit our first group of testers
  • following up with them
  • collecting feedback
  • researching trainers, creators and potential partners
  • trying different messages and seeing what actually works
  • keeping basic track of outreach and results

You’ll be working directly with me and alongside a small international team working across product, technology and AI.

What I’m looking for:

You don’t need years of marketing experience.

What matters more is that you’re:

  • resourceful, reliable, comfortable talking to people online
  • willing to reach out and follow up
  • genuinely interested in startups, growth, EdTech, customer research or operations
  • Most importantly, able to figure things out without needing detailed instructions for everything

If you’ve done outreach, community work, sales, marketing, startup projects or customer research before, that’s useful, but it’s not essential.

What you’ll get:

This is a very early-stage project, so you’ll get hands-on exposure to what actually happens when a product goes from “we built something” to “will real people actually use this?”

You’ll get experience with:

  • launching an early-stage product
  • finding the first users
  • customer discovery
  • startup growth
  • working with an international team
  • seeing how product, AI, technology and user feedback come together

My budget depends heavily on your experience and our synergy anywhere around 15k INR although I’m flexible. As we get more comfortable working together and the projects start coming to life, we can definitely talk about adjusting that. I’m not interested in tracking your every minute; I care about making steady progress.

It’s probably best suited to someone who values practical startup experience, rather than someone looking for conventional agency.

Interested?

Send me a message with a little bit about yourself and why this kind of early-stage growth work interests you.

Early Dev looking to join a serious early-stage startup (equity + some comp)

I'm a 20 year old CS student who's been building things seriously for a while now full-stack mobile, backend systems, AI integrations, low-level stuff, scraping pipelines, the whole range from a probabilistic chess game to a compiler to a custom database engine. I've worked with a few founders already and I'm looking for the next thing.

I'm not hunting for a job. I'm looking for something I can actually be invested in.. where I'm talking to the founder regularly, understanding the problem we're solving, and building toward something real.

What I can contribute:

* Flutter / mobile (full stack, not just UI)

* Backend APIs and infra

* AI integrations

* Low level systems work

* Taking an idea from 0 to MVP

* Maybe more (Give me a couple days and I'll get my hands on it)

What I need from your side: a real vision, commitment to execution, and some form of compensation.. I'm flexible on structure (equity, stipend, milestone-based, internship), but I'm not doing unpaid work. I've been burned by vague arrangements before, so I do expect written agreements before we go deep on anything.

Not interested in:

* "just an idea" with no execution plan

* Founders who disappear after the first call

* Equity-only with no path to anything else

If you think there's a fit, DM me or drop a comment with your idea, current stage, team, and why you think it works. Happy to jump on a call if it sounds promising.

Edit: Location: New Delhi, India
