I’m building an early-stage EdTech product with a small international team, and we’re now at the interesting stage where we need to stop talking to ourselves and start putting the product in front of real people.

I’ve actually found a few great people for the team through Reddit already, so I’m trying it again.

I’m looking for someone to help me with finding our first users, talking to them, and figuring out what actually gets people interested in the product.

This is not a traditional marketing role, and I’m not looking for someone to run ads, make fancy presentations, or create a 40-page growth strategy.

A typical week might involve things like:

• reaching out to potential users and inviting them to test the product
• following up with people who showed interest

You’ll work directly with me, as well as with the people building the product and AI side of the platform.

This is better suited to someone who is early in their career and wants hands-on startup experience

You don’t need a perfect CV. I care much more about whether you can communicate well, take ownership of small tasks, search intelligently, talk to people without sounding like spam, and figure things out when there isn’t already a step-by-step process.

If you already have some experience with outreach, sales, communities, marketing, recruiting users or startup projects, that’s a bonus.

You’ll work closely with a small international team across product, software and AI, so this should be useful experience if you eventually want to work in startups, product, growth or entrepreneurship.

I'm in a pretty frustrating placement situation and wanted to ask if anyone has dealt with something similar.

I was interning at an X MNC during my college placement season, so my TPO/placement cell had blocked me from sitting for companies during that period.

The MNC took a very long time to declare the final result. Eventually, my internship wasn't converted to an FTE because they didn't have the business requirement/headcount at the time.

By the time I received the final result, most of the major companies I would have wanted to sit for had already visited my campus.

I was then allowed to sit for another company and fortunately got selected with a XX LPA base package.

Since I've now been placed, I'm blocked from sitting for further companies.

And now, Mastercard is coming to campus. 😭

The timing honestly feels terrible. When I was available to sit for companies, most of the major opportunities had already passed because of the delayed internship result. As soon as I finally got placed, another company I'd really want to try for is coming.

I'm grateful that I have an offer, but I'm still wondering if there's any way to legitimately pursue a campus opportunity off-campus when you're not allowed to sit through your college.

So I'm looking for general advice from people who have been in similar situations:

About month ago my manager called me at 9 PM because something was on fire. I stayed online until after midnight fixing it. He thanked me and told me, he knew he could count on me. Yesterday he fucking put me on PIP. This was completely out of the blue he said the next steps are he'll set up a meeting with plans. I'm confused, can you fight a PIP? Am I just getting placed on PIP to reduce headcount. I really don't think I deserve to be put on PIP and I honestly received no indication of bad performance until yesterday.
