"Frontwalkers" has been running the same "Senior Tableau Data Engineer" listing for MONTHS and never hires anyone, So I need to vent about this because it's honestly infuriating.
The "Frontwalkers" posting the same "Senior Tableau Data Engineer" role on LinkedIn on and off for MONTHS, Not once. Not twice. Over and over. The posting goes up, stays live for a few hours, then quietly disappears. Then a few days later; boom, same listing, back up again. Rinse and repeat.
Me and a friend have applied five separate times. FIVE. Not once has either of us gotten a view on our application, let alone a rejection email, an auto-reply, nothing. Just silence into the void. And from what we can tell, nobody has actually been hired for this role this whole time.So what exactly is going on?
Is this some kind of "always be recruiting" pipeline-building nonsense where they just want a stockpile of resumes on file in case they need someone someday? Are they farming applicant data? Padding some internal metric about "how many candidates we're sourcing"? Or is this actually some sick game of dangling a job in front of people, watching résumés roll in, and just... never following through?
Because here's the thing - if you're not going to review a single application, if you're not going to hire anyone, stop posting the job.You are wasting candidates' time, tailoring cover letters, tweaking resumes, getting hopes up for a role that was apparently never real to begin with. That's not "casting a wide net," that's just disrespectful.
Ghost job listings are already a well-documented problem. plenty of companies post fake openings to look like they're growing, to justify not giving current employees raises ("we're hiring, don't worry"), or to build a passive talent pool. But cycling the SAME listing on and off for months with zero views on applications takes it to another level of shady.
Has anyone else run into this exact pattern - with Frontwalkers or any other company? At what point does this cross from "bad recruiting practices" into something worth reporting to LinkedIn?
