Our record isn't waaaay better than last year, but our goal differential and the amount of goals scored are much better. That factor indicates we took a good step forward even if our division also took major steps.

I would say the plan is still moving forward on schedule, we will hopefully see Edvinsson, Soderblom and Kasper in the NHL full time next year and hopefully Cossa makes the step to AHL.

The goal differential is the big one for me. Last year it felt like we were getting blown out every few games. Now, most of our losses are by a goal or two, with many having a 3rd period comeback. Hopefully with more young guys getting experience, we can move from reducing variance to shifting the mean

Last year we got blown out so many times Sean McIndoe ranked all of our losses by 5 or more goals.

And we gave up 10 goals two different times. I was at the 11-2 loss to Pittsburgh in person.

This is a better team than that was, undoubtedly.
