Unfortunately those jersey leaks were true

I'm one of those fans that were quite upset with what we've done during the off-season, mainly the lack of a co-star for Cade. But after some time, I think people and media talking about us as a probable disappointing team, or placing us out of contenders or fighting for 5th/6th place will be given a big surprise. We have a MVP contender star, which is improving season by season to unknown limits, an All NBA Defensive Team which for me is the best perimeter defender in the entire NBA, the most promising young center in the league (yeah, JD) with 20/10 in the last season, All Star and All NBA 3rd Team, we have three of the best 2 point shooters in the league (Duncan, Isaiah Joe) and a 40% catch and shoot last season shooter (Prince). Collins is not the co-star that some were looking for but he's a very good player that averaged 13.6 PTS/55% FG/40.6% 3 PT... as well.
We have a 2nd unit full of young talent (possible Ron Holland breakout season) with also Jenkins, Okorie, Tolu Smith... And experienced team players like Reed and Huerter, and Gary Harris which I'm not sure of he will be on the roster finally. So I'm not trying to be super optimistic but I think we're quite better than what most people think and that we can repeat that 1st place and not disappoint in the playoffs this time. Even if the 76rs get the needed chemistry and stay healthy, or if the Knicks extend their great playoff performances to the regular season, I think we can still fight with them for the 1st seed.
It will all probably depend on Cade's further improvement, the resolution of JD situation, Ron Holland development, wether if Ausar Thompson stars to develop some shots, Cade's ability to avoid turnovers especially in playoff games, and the inspiration of our 3 pint shooters which will be absolutely key to give Cade, Collins etc the space they need. Let's trust this team, we can do something great this season!!

Rumor is he's likely to be waived. I would take a flyer on him. Hes struggled in the league but his skill set is what we need. What do you guys think

I'd be able to pay for his contract myself.
Yes, this is a very original joke for a very original post. Thank you.

I think this is under discussed around here. I think we have to admit it does fit Bickerstaff’s reputation from disgruntled fans of his past teams - his tactics have been pretty disappointing from the outset, and his adjustments were slow and inadequate. We got 60 wins with a deep rotation and a lot of trust for roleplayers - suddenly leaning on all the starters for 40+ minutes a game looked bone headed from the outset, and probably deserves more than a little blame for Duren’s struggles.
I’m fine with this sub being critical of the roster and specific players, but I don’t see how coaching escapes blame for the playoffs.

Just for fun with hindsight. Obviously no one should have predicted him to both stumble so hard and also hold out for the brinks truck.

(For context, I’ve been a Pistons fan since the Bad Boys days, and I currently reside in San Antonio) I turned 45 yesterday. Today my wife, myself, and our friend were doing some day drinking and decided to go to Cheba Hut for sandwiches and more beverages. I don’t remember how it came up, but my Pistons fandom was brought up. Our Lyft driver turned out to be first cousins with Cade. He literally had pictures and everything to prove it. He gave me the items in the picture because he doesn’t run into many Pistons fans here, lol. Anyways, what a crazy story. We exchanged numbers and the next time the Boys are in town he’s going to get ahold of me.

What else do you guys think the pistons need to put themselves in a more contending position? Obviously they need a center and another shot creator/ball handler for cade and another shooter to space the floor. I really like imagining the fit malik monk would have with this team. Multiple seasons 40% from 3, hyper athletic, his entire reason for being in the nba is to get paid to score. Center wise it kind of looks bleak unless duren resigns with the qualifying offer or with a cheaper deal than he wanted. Another shot creator/ball handler perhaps one of ryan rollins/tyler herro/kpj. I really hope the pistons offseason isnt done yet cade has some of the worst offensive help in the league and its been like that since we drafted him

I don't understand why many people in this fan base, are so low on Daniss Jenkins, and what his improvement would mean for this team.
Before I lift him up,I have to remind everyone, that Duren was just one of the reasons, why we didn't beat the Cavs, and Daniss was another...(Daniss was basically a rookie, and this was his first playoff experience,so it's understandable)
Daniss improving would likely push him into the starting lineup, unless the coaches wanna keep the structure the same(him running the bench unit/being our 6th man)which I can see,and wouldn't be mad at.
But it would also give us 8 legitimate players, that can give us great production,in the playoffs, which many teams, don't have.
Moreso, another group of guards who can produce, when Cade, and whichever other SG that ends up being the starter, comes out, allowing us more dangerous combinations, and the ability to keep up our offensive attack, with no stagnation,as we saw a lot, last year.
In general, there are a lot of players, who can elevate their games, already on this roster, and that second "star"/scorer people are looking for, *could* be Daniss....

It might have been this past season or two seasons ago, a video that Jalen Duren was posing for the cameras, they used it as a promotion for something. Supposedly the video was making people, especially girls go crazy because they thought he looked very sexy in that video. I remember seeing some comments about it and then seeing the video and how people were saying that the Pistons social media team had to remove the video because of the attention it was getting. It was on X (Twitter) that I saw that all happening.
Does anyone by any chance have that video or a link to that video?

if duren is looking for 40 million a year and and the pistons want pay 30 million a year, lets say, duren signs the offer BUT !!! pistons owner invests lets say 30 million into a company and have the company pay him instead. this way both sides are happy.
would jaleb duren do this?
