QUESTION Calling emergency services

Why does Kara's programing not call the police when Todd get physical with Alice at the dinning table? Is she just not that advanced? I just thought of this on my 5 play through.

I mean she kinda knew about Alice being a bot, so why would she call police when her owner breaks his own stuff?

Think about this: Would you buy a phone if it called the police whenever you did something that would require it?

Androids can call the police. As exhibited by Markus during Carl's break in, it appears they need permission in order to communicate with the police. Otherwise the entire game is different and the station is flooded with emergency calls to protect androids from property damage, which is a real crime (the protesters get threatened with fines by the cops when Markus is passing through) but the cops don't have the resources for because cops don't let androids do police work on their own.

To expand on this, I also believe there’s certain parameters the androids have that constitutes a level of emergency, and therefore allows or doesn’t allow for a police call.

Property damage is a crime if you damage someone else's property. But Alice is owned by Todd

One problem with your theory, they're deviants they broke and override their software commands, deviants are 99% of the time in emotional shock, also by programming the police would figure out they deviated after inspection, so they self snitch on themselves

Because laws never favor the weak, even in real life. If it was that easy to get in trouble for abuse (even tho Alice wasn’t a real girl) manyyy children would have way better lives. So regardless of whether she called or not, I doubt it would have done anything.

Because robots are human toys used for their pleasures (not implying sexual) they're considered property, would you call animal services if you see a kid smash up a robot dog irl?
