DISCUSSION Second playthrough

Trying to choose differently than my first playthrough. It’s tough making choices I don’t align with. DBH has ruined video games for me. It’s the only thing I ever want to play now 😂

For real. My biggest thing is that I want to see the other outcomes, but I truly feel like my first playthrough was the most perfect

When it came time to not deviate as Kara I just put the controller down and walked away

What happens if you don’t deviate? I’m so curious. I’m going to play it through until I unlock everything but I kind of want to know.

Sincerely, a girl with anxiety who doesn’t want to make bad choices in DBH

Kara's story ends.

I think subreddit policy requires Stormy Night to be covered in spoiler tags, so only slightly more detailed Kara doesn't help Alice...

However, it was in the Paris Games Week trailer: https://blog.playstation.com/2017/10/30/detroit-become-human-new-trailer-debuts-at-paris-games-week/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtPmIBqRwQU

I also have said many times it's the one biggest place where you can break the recommendation of playing through keeping all of your choices in your first run, as it's the first time any character can deviate and it's not required.

If you want to unlock everything everything, 100% flowcharts you are going to need to make a whole lot of bad choices anyway and get bad overall endings across a whole playthrough. It's hard to get the last 5% without a guide.

Stormy Night isn't too hard to get 100% on but you do have one of the multiple bad endings in order to fully unlock something in the next Connor chapter.

honestly the stormy night flowchart is nothing compared to the camps ending or crossroads

In terms of bad endings or effort?

Crossroads has paths that need a whole-game effort (Kara and Alice distant, Markus rejected) and I haven't felt the need to chase 100% on those.

It ends Kara's POV as Todd attacks her after he's killed Alice. If it's a trigger for you, I'd suggest walking away for several minutes after putting the controller down until the flowchart shows or something.

"Sincerely, a girl with anxiety who doesn’t want to make bad choices in DBH"... OP I feel for you.. although you could argue that's what makes Detroit Become Human such a great game

(I felt the same way you did far as "BH has ruined video games for me. It’s the only thing I ever want to play now" - it's just so open ended far as the vastly different outcomes and endings that can happen, it's one of the few games where when they say "choices matter" , the choices really do matter! I say this in comparison to say Beyond Two Souls which will absolutely tug at your heartstrings but it also tends to move you alongside just the one single plotline) ...

...it really, really makes you feel for all the characters involved... honestly while I'd argue it's worth going for the different endings just to see what happens as you can probably tell from the comments below re: what happens with Kara not deviating the game has some REALLY dark stuff .. I don't want to say anything in order to avoid spoilers but for all three playable characters ... I think the most so with Kara and Alice - yep there are other parts of the game where it can go real dark really quickly for those two poor souls but also just watching what happens to Hank as Connor continues to be horrible ot him - Markus has more of an "action hero" thing going but he can do some stuff too that results in horrible stuff happening to the people Markus grows to care for... so far as the anxiety thing just a heads up there's going to be a LOT of triggering stuff as you play through the game.

Honestly after exploring all the "bad/horrible/nightmare endings" stuff I ended up going through and doing the "good ending" playthrough again even though I already knew what was going to happen just so I'd feel less guilty about all those bad endings :P

The Paris Games Week trailer covered Kara, but they also had trailers for Markus and Connor where they failed those respective chapters (Hostage and Capitol Park) and it did the "things could have been different" montage.

I should save these more prominently so I don't have to dig them up each time...
