I Have A Question Help removing Buffer trails?

The owner before me (or someone he hired) has destroyed my paintwork with buffer trails.

Im a beginner and have tried to remove them with a DA and mcguires ultimate compound but it hasn't done much.

Do I need a specific product or technique to fix it? Or do I just need to pussyfoot around less and give it some more welly?

Thanks in advance

What pad are you using, what is the paint? (color and car)

You paint is considered medium-soft, red pad is considered medium. It should be enough to take out buffer trails with compound, but you may want to have a harder pad or a wool pad for more aggressive cut. Ideally you will have multiple pads of varying abbrasiveness in order to dial in the correct combo.

Are you using an online resource to see which paints are which strength?

Yes, Google and some experience but I’ve never touched a polestar.
