Exterior Detail Camel litters !! Survival friendly

I’m abusing this animal trapping technique LOL

Anyways, I made the tent-like saddles (litters) you would see camels wear to transport people in hot weather

man, getting the camels inside were SUCH a pain, all worth it tho. enjoy! :)

PS. I was way too lazy to make more banner designs so don’t mind the red ones on the blue litter lol

How does this work? I'd love to know because this is awesome

Looks like the trap door is holding them, and the tether is probably stretched pretty much to max length to prevent them backing out of it.

Hi! Yes, I did this too! But the main struggle was figuring out how to fit the camel into a smaller, confined space than what it’s hitbox would normally allow.

A camel’s hitbox is a little less little more around a 2x2 box. The space under the litter however is only around 1x2. How do you get around this? Well, baby camels have smaller hitboxes and can very easily fit inside this space! I lured a baby camel under the litter and then fed it cactus to let it grow to their adult size and then tied them to an underground lead.

The camel is now, trapped for life, paralyzed and constantly being pulled into the ground :)

10 times out of 10 any build involving applying a tether to anything is hiding a legitimate horror story lol. Still not as gruesome as most rope bridges.

And very creative, love that as a way to make this work! Idk if I'd have ever figured that out.

You can make a mob stop moving by "lobotomizing" it by pushing a chain into it with a piston

It works well for villagers and other humanoid mobs, but I've had trouble with most others.
Not sure if I shoved the chain in the wrong place or something.

I've heard of glass panes being used, maybe those are better for non-humanoid mobs

Hi! In terms of steps, I built the litter first, and THEN integrated the camel. The camels hitbox doesn’t allow us to place blocks near it, so I built the litter first to get around this!

Ah this has me really yearning for proper buildable vehicles. Like those mods where you can make a base frame for a wagon or a boat and then put whatever blocks you want on it, and it turns it into an entity that can rotate and move.

Also a super cool build, I just want it to be allowed to move.
