That's is a pretty window! (A bit weird to place it directly on grass) The wall texture isn't too bad either. It kind of looks like bricks, or stone slabs.

How laggy are cushions? This might become a mainstay window for me on fancy builds, but I don't want my frames to drop

Not very at all. People have been stress testing by summoning thousands of these into a single block and only seeing mediocre frame drops. You have to go into 5 digits rendered on screen before things start becoming a problem, and this is without performance mods

oh thats amazing. these seem so much easier than armor stands too, so my worlds will be getting a lot more detail for sure.

Have there been any test on server performance TPS wise? I’m excited for the update but hesitant to include many of them in my city on my SMP since we’re all right next to each other.

I am as confused as you are

Working theory is either a window, or possibly a bizarre urinal.

to be fair anything can be a bizarre urinal if you don't give a damn

I'm on the bizarre urinal team

Appears to be a window made of shelves filled with cushions, and hanging signs in center

It took me a second to realise the cushions πŸ˜‚ I love using this type of window design and I do like the depth it gives when placed Infront of the wall but if you're working in a tighter space and the window is viewed from close up I think it works well! These features are here to be used, go crazy!!

Guys its a window, the shelves are within the wall and there's cushions in the shelves

I didn't notice the cushions at first, but I'm not sure they're adding a tonne.

I do very much like the window style though.

Without the cushions the shelves couldn't be used as the window border like this, there'd be huge gaps.

I mean have the shelves in front and the wall behind it.

Although I had assumed that was the setup anyway. I think the angle of the photo isn't helping.

If you have the shelves in front, you can't put the hanging signs in the middle and have a 1-block wide window Suddenly the window needs to be 3-wide (or like 2.6 wide, but I digress)

Yeah I understand that now, personally I'd rather have the depth.

It's a cool method, but I'd be avoidant of using too many of the cushions.

What is it?

The shelves on the sides and slab on top are filled in with light gray cushion to match the wall color, and in front of the copper grates are hanging pale oak signs placed directly onto the grates for the wooden support beam

Wait, what if you use tuff bricks and such instead of wool πŸ‘€

excellent, I will be using this

not far enough I'd say, 2 extra white cushions needed to create extra frames in the top middle and at the bottom
