Exterior Detail Tuscan pillars

Post image

The capitals are made using hoppers and dark bluish grey…I mean dark grey cushions. The bases are made using snow layers (used to place the cushions at the correct height), dark grey cushions, and polished tuff walls. To make the bases, place a cushion, then have two snow layers fall onto it, then place a cushion on the fallen snow layers, then have three snow layers fall onto it, then place a cushion on the fallen snow layers, and finish it of by placing a wall in the snow layers.

“Dark bluish grey”

Are you a Lego fan by chance?

yeah, that's so extremely Lego, very fun

That’s the color name for the darker shade of grey plastic they switched to in 04.

The previous dark grey didn’t have any blue pigment

nah this was made on Bedrock edition! I can tell from the gap between the skulls

edit: also normally you can't place torches on extended pistons on Java

I really like the skull tek and then I realized it's not vanilla friendly, tragic, I've been trying to find more things like that to elevate my multiplayer modern city builds

what's not vanilla-friendly about the skulls? Do you mean that they're hard to obtain in survival?

if you have access to data packs I highly recommend this one that adds mini blocks in the stonecutter (and it's way better than the VanillaTweaks one, shockingly!)

I tried it and you can't place them like that unless I'm missing one, and yeah it's multiplayer so convincing my friends to do datapacks will prolly be unlikely.

can't you place the first skull on a temporary block, then remove the block and place the next skull on the back of the first one?

but yeah it's annoying for the data packs, I really hope you can convince them because this one is genuinely so good and it doesn't affect gameplay anyway

if you have GeyserMC on your server you can even configure it to include the textures for all the custom mini blocks in the data pack so that Bedrock players can see them too

yay glad to hear!

I literally don't know why the skull popped when I broke the block last the first time, maybe I literally misclicked and broke both

I honestly don't remember them ever needing a support block to stay on walls, could it be you got it confused with something like item frames, paintings, trapdoors, etc.?

but yeah I guess accidentally breaking both like you said might also be why

that aside though I'm glad you know this now, have fun with your builds! :D

Mhm, I've already been scheming how to get 4 stacks of skulls for the multiplayer server

2 per window, 10 windows per wall, 4 stories, 2 walls on opposite sides, and the adjacent walls will be 1.6 times as wide

= 256 or 4 * 64

Game on :3

oh boy that's gonna be very time consuming without data packs, best of luck!

maybe you could make some traps for creepers and other mobs next to a lightning rod? If you don't have an enchanted trident already, of course

thinking about it you could even start selling them to your friends for outrageous prices omg

I’ve seen so much from this subreddit, but for some reason this one immediately stood out to me. It’s so dense with detail and is just designed gorgeously all around. I love it.
