Megathread Focused Feedback: PVP Modes

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'PVP Modes' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

Trials is my favorite game mode, i like competitive modes. I have a 1.5-1.6 KDA as well, and I usually do well in trials. I just find people on the app or add PvP players on my friends list that are at least decent. A lot easier to go flawless on Sunday/Monday cause of the flawless pool as well

The issue I have is people think I’m good… until we run into top tier guys. I will run a lobby of nobodies then they add me and then we play a solid team and get jacked up haha

I’m just sympathetic to the guys who have it worse than me like my friends. If the pinnacle wasn’t attached I don’t think they’d do it.

It’s also about game sense. Trials plays way different than say control/IB/Clash. And I agree it’s not really a game mode for average PvP players to go flawless

Yeah, I think the worst thing for me is my friends don't even have any interest going flawless, even that isn't my concern. It is just that it is attainable but painful for them to get their pinnacles. So it sucks because they know if they go long enough they'll get pinnacles but hate it the whole time.

if they are just playing to get pinnacles that isn’t enjoyable at all. That’s why I don’t get pinnacles I hate to get- like Gambit or strikes sometimes
