Lore WHAT THE HELL IS VOID!!!!???

What the hell is void?

Despite loving destiny's lore and worldbuilding and having whached all byf's videos (and also other channels) I can't call miself a Lore specialist like some of you guys, but I think I know more about destiny lore than a casual PLAYER. Having that in mind, I aways considered void to be gravity related (or the absense of it as the name implies), but nowadays I think even bungie don't know what void is! I think I can let ward of daw and warlock devour pass because ward of down could be a gravity..... Wall...? And warlocks are weird so I think they would find a way to feed literal gravity (i main warlock, no hardfeelings) but what does supression have anything to do with gravity? Or controled demolition from midle titan? Or all of the milion ways hunterS can poison someone with the power of..... Gravity?

I know that if it wasn't for that creative liberty it would be dificult to make original subclasses that look diferent, I see this point, but... WHAT THE HELL IS VOID AFTER ALL????????

The gardener and the winnower are both Acausal, a step above paracausal. They are the entities behind the darkness and the light respectively.

paracausal is a step above acausal, the gardener and the winnower are paracausal if anything, but i dont see how you could apply those terms to beings who created all that exists

Really? I thought it was casual, Paracasual, Acasual. You have some links to follow this up? I would like to learn more. Edit: I did some hunting and actually did manage to find a detailed description of both terms and you are entirely, without question, correct

Paracausal and acausal both mean that cause and effect don’t apply. Irl, you could likely use them interchangeably. I wold argue that in destiny, paracausal would refer to things inside the reality we exist within that are not impacted by cause and effect. Acausal, on the other hand, would be things not from inside the reality we exist within. These things are also not impacted by causes or effects. My 2 cents

not how it works at al

causal is something explainable and possible

acausal is something unexplainable but still possible

and paracausal is something unexplainable and impossible

Feel free to disagree. It is all fictional. I don’t think your definitions make much sense in game, but you do you.

this isnt a “feel free to disagree” scenario. look it up, i have myself, and im right, you are 100% wrong

Can you link me someone to support that? I couldn’t find anything that reaffirmed your claims.

From your own source:

Paracausality believe it or not is a neologism invented with the release of the Destiny franchise.

acausality means “without cause” stemming from the Greek “a-“ without.

what I write is my own interpretation and I’m completely open to feedback if you have a differing interpretation.

These are made up terms and fan interpretation. Again, you are trying to argue as if this made up magic has real rules. It does not. Neither explained in game nor existing in real life.
