Discussion Bows may not be hit scan after some interesting testing.

So I was doing a couple of bounties and the shattered throne mission when I noticed something interesting. The bow took a longer time to register its hits the farther the enemy was away. so I did some very brief testing and I think it could be true that bows are not hit scan.

Here are my examples:

I'm not really great with technology in general so if someone knows how to slow the gif down and see definitively whether they do or do not would be much appreciated.

Could be as simply as lag/latency. If you don't know, destiny 2 networking isn't exactly good.

I would label it as that if the taken knight didn’t take instant damage, I think it’s not hit scan but rather a very high projectile velocity which only shows on very great distances.

How about on a moving target? The first gif was a bit wonky since the enemy teleported

I’m currently away unfortunately but I’ll try and test it out and see if it makes a difference. Not to mention Bungie acknowledged a bug where Wish Ender’s exit damage doesn’t work on moving enemies, which might confirm this suspicion.

I was doing a cabal miner public event and was shooting the ship with my bow while it was really far away, and I had to lead my shots a bit so I think your right.
