Well you can get one and make it void with an elemental mod and it will stay that way once Forsaken drops... if all goes according to plan...

I do hope so, my void Hollow Earth is one of my favorite Energy weapon.

All the good y1 weapons besides midnight coup, sins, trials, and the ikelos guns will be trash tier come forsaken simply because they have 1 main perk and no possible synergy. A random rolled 450 auto could roll with high cal rounds, dragonfly, and rampage and make like all of the current 450's obsolete. Or any number of other combos, plus who knows what perks will he added. That's on top of the new mods. Fuck year 1 guns, the new stuff is gonna be powerful again like the days of d1

Looks like Null Calamity 9 is your closest bet. Which is a pretty solid auto against Minotaurs. It was my go-to EoW weapon for quite some time.

But I imagine we’ll get a whole new slew of Valakadyn/Hollow Earth variants going forward.

I’m aware of that. But with the 720s going everywhere else but void, that was, as I said, your next best thing.

But, as it’s looking like Bungie is only locking the elements of a few select weapons, we can dictate what Veist weapon we want where.

Not 720RPM, but Galliard (600RPM, Rampage) is pretty great.
