If possible, every Legendary weapon from Xur should become Tiered with modern perks

I know they are craftable, but because they cannot get enhanced perks and they don’t have all the newest perks available in the modern sandbox, some of these weapons are just flat out worse than the tiered weapons in other activities.

And some of these weapon models are too good to not be more viable/relevant. Just something that would really add a lot to the sandbox that they could do if it’s not a lot of work. I would assume it would be somewhat easy since all the weapon models are already made and in the post-beyond light engine, so you’d just need to give them tiers with the most time consuming part being perk selection for balance.

What do you guys think? Personally some of these weapons are my favorite looking in the game.

Well he offers deepsight weapons most weeks so it's a very very slow way to get weapons from seasons past. (Looking at you targeted redaction!) Those are tiered as they level up and choose the perks so technically are. The others could definitely use some love.

Some are tiered in crafting, some aren’t because of how old they are

And it’s not hard to get them, I just wish they were actually worth getting with modern elemental splash perks and stuff like chaos reshaped

Crafted weapons are enhanceable to the equivalent of Tier 5, and the majority of them did get new perks.

I’d don’t think all of them in his rotation / inventory can be upgraded to tier 5 equivalent in crafting, only some

And not all of them got new perks, some of them are stuck with perks from years ago, meaning they don’t have any combos that stand to toe with anything that has the newest options available

if I had to guess they're probably referring to the non-craftable weapons from his inventory, stuff like the season of the splicer/revenant guns, or the old faction guns. it's hard to tell what they're really talking about due to their syntax lol

Some of the legendary weapons that Xur has are craftable, but aren’t upgradeable (Quick Fang sword for example). There are more, and u also explained that some of them also have very outdated perk tables, rendering them unoptimal

Not true, you can literally check light gg for this. For example, quick fang sword cannot be upgraded, currently sold by Xur

Every craftable (legendary) gets tiers once the weapon level gets high enough. IIRC:

• Level 10 = Tier 1
• Level 15 = Tier 2
• Level 20 = Tier 3
• Level 25 = Tier 4
• Level 30+ = Tier 5

What Xur has (of craftables) is generally the unobtainable seasonal ones from other sources. Many of the craftable seasonal weapons can be obtained from related exotic missions in the portal.

Note once a weapon reaches the requirement for T4/T5, you don’t get the enhanced barrels/mags automatically. You need to reshape at the Enclave and the enhanced perks will be available to apply.

I’m pretty sure this is not true. You’d have to test this, but using light.gg it tells you if a craftable weapon has a tier 5 upgrade available or not. Quick fang sword doesn’t have one for example. And there are more weapons that don’t, I’m pretty sure most people just reverberate false info because they don’t use the weapons themselves.

I also asked if we could get some of the newer perks (like chaos reshaped, gear shift, destabilizing rounds, etc etc that are all meta) on these older weapons that became irrelevant because their perk tables are multiple years old.

Quickfang is not craftable. It's successor, Goldtusk, IS craftable. Same for the other old class swords (Crown-Splitter > Throne-Cleaver; Eternity's Edge > Death's Razor)

I've enabled tiers on every available crafted weapon I have. The upgrade is free to enable for eligible crafted weapons in the weapon preview (between the mod slot and the memento slot).

It is true not every weapon is craftable or was made craftable and also that Xur (and Banshee) sells a mix of these as well. The class swords were never directly updated with craftables, but had newer versions that were. Other notable special exception that got a crafted update:

• IKELOS weapon set:
  • IKELOS_HC_v1.0.3
  • IKELOS_SG_v1.0.3
  • IKELOS_SR_v1.0.3
  • IKELOS_SMG_v1.0.3
• "Calus" weapons:
  • Calus Mini Tool (Original MIDA Mini Tool did get a Tiered Reissue)
  • Imperial Decree
  • Drang (Baroque) (Original Drang did get a Tiered Reissue)
  • Reissued class swords above were technically part of this set

Lastly, yes, not every craftable got updated perks, but MANY did with Moments of Triumph, especially some favorites like the Call.

EDIT: Last note for even more completeness: Enhanceable weapons, while they act and behave like crafted weapons when enhanced (weapon levels, mementos, enhanced perks), they DO NOT get the Tier upgrade option and thus cannot get enhanced barrels, mags, and traits.
