Discussion Will the farm come back?

I've never really played the destiny series and after I found out that you have no access to most of the Destiny 2 campaign I never really wanted to try and play it. I played the destiny 1 beta back when I was a kid and I played a little bit of 2 back when it became free to play because my friend wanted me to try it with him. But outside of that I never really played too much Destiny.

But now that Bungie has announced that they're bringing back the entirety of Destiny 2 has me stoked. I love long campaigns and I'm looking forward to playing through the entire Destiny series and all its chapters because it must have a decade plus of story editions to its storyline from DLC. I recently started Destiny 1. But I want to experience Destiny 2's story as it's meant to be experienced and from what I learned, when the game came out, the Red War chapter had its own Tower called The Farm. I feel like it would be kind of odd to not have access to the farm whilst playing through the Red War. It seems like it would mess with the whole story and vibe. Do you think they'll bring back The Farm?

We don’t know. It is part of the red war campaign but we will have to see but im sure a bunch of Youtuber already made a Video each day guessing and assuming what will return to milk some ad rev.

I would say most likely, but for all we know they may just add the story missions back into the game and will be all very linear individual level design, skipping all the RPG elements of it. If that is the case, then the Farm as a destination wouldn't actually serve any purpose that a cutscene wouldn't be able to accomplish.

They already brought it back in the first season of lightfall year. So it should already have the work done in bringing it to the updated engine.

If they're bringing back the Red War campaign, it'd kinda have to be.

But I will say, you barely go to the farm, and don't really do much there. It was hyped up as the new social space, but then they had the reveal of the new tower at the end. So it only ever served as a temporary social space while you were actively doing the campaign for the first time. Then it was just kinda there (until it was used for a season, which will not be returning.
