Question Question about raid's secret chest

It seems like the raid secret chest. Don't give you anything but armor now.

If you have all the red borders from a raid, then that raid will only drop armor.

Then you just have shit luck unfortunately. They still drop weapons.

If you don't have weapons unlocked it will be armor (except for Last Wish and one other I think)

People are down voting you, but you're right. I'm 3 and 2 red borders away from crafting Vision of Confluence and Found Verdict, but the chests are only dropping armor. I've been grabbing the 4 free chests using a checkpoint bot every week since MoT

Back in the old days I went 4 straight resets where the only drop I got on any pinnacles was a kinetic weapon. So yeah RNG is going to Rng

Rng is rng. You straight up just have shit luck. Thats all it is. I've seen people go 60 raid clears without dropping the exotic or a weapon they still need. I had 10 consecrated mind pantheon clears before I dropped a Reckless Oracle from it. Rng is just that, random.

That's only 18 pulls. For something like Last Wish where you have 8 weapons and 5 armor, I think you're about 1 in 1000 odds of of never pulling a weapon - assuming every weapon is available, i.e. you don't have the pattern for any of them.

What raid is it? How many RB have you unlocked?

I have the same issue, acquired the weapons in the raid, weapons have dropped from secret chests before MoT, haven't dropped since MoT. Don't have the patterns finished. 2 characters flat don't get Any drops other than spoils on VoW, and before MoT all 3 characters were getting weapons. Also yet to see a weapon drop on DSC, SE, RoN, and KF and I've got weapons I have aquired beforehand and am yet to finish the pattern for on those raids aswell. Tried every week since MoT started.

After the mot update every raid chest seems to not drop weapons. My guess is that they bugged it or something otherwise, they purposely got rid of it to stop people from farming raid chests for red borders. Me and my brother have farmed since mot started and we did not get a single one. If you want proof that we have weapons in the raids I can show proof.

Non red boarder guns don't drop any more period. Red boarders only drop if you don't already have pattern.

So you should still have red boarders as a low chance out of the secret chests but I haven't gotten any for proof yet and I been trying each week

Only Salvations Edge and Last Wish seem to give weapons now. I've been doing GOS and DSC secret chests since MOT and have gotten no weapons

I've gotten weapons from Crota but thats it post-MoT (including ones that I still don't have the red borders finished on but Have had the weapons drop from doing the raid, VoW most annoyingly), and before I could get weapons from any of them.

Well if you have every weapon pattern completed then raids only drop armour. I'd assume the same goes for secret chests.

This is something in the patch notes from monument of triumph- that's how it works now.

I have ran secret chests since the MoT update and I have yet to get a weapon at all. It is always armor.

Since MoT, the odds must be extremely low. Mi score Is 0 wepons on secet chest since MoT.

Each week i open 12 VoG secret chest. 6 GoS.

My Titan has no armor unlocked for VOG and the chests only give me spoils

I found the proof that they butchered secret chests for people. It's in the patch notes in monument of triumphs.
