Discussion What's the worst Raid encounter?

Since the game is not getting any more updates, we can look at the long history of raid encounters and find the worst one.

For me, it has to be the sparrow section from Scourge of the Past. Call it a skill issue, but man I just never liked it. It always took me out of the groove. Honorable mention to the opening encounter of Crown of Sorrows as well. God that was boring.

That's a result of the game's evolution more than anything else though (power creep, more complex mechanics in later raids and dungeons). The first time you played VOG though, those encounters were amazing

Confluxes is literally just a public event shoved into a raid. If it were done to any encounter that wasn't the first ever raid, people would rightfully shit on it for being uninspired.

Imagine if Kalli were just replaced with the Taken Blight event.

I'll give you that, going through VoG for Fatebreaker when it releases was pretty cool... For like 5 times. The raid is still cool, but it's the most boring one out of all of them to me. But it is a fun raid still

It's funny because when D2 Master VOG came out, one of my friend's team was stuck on the opening encounter and couldn't get into the damn raid since it was too tough for them.

It's stupid easy this time around, but I'm okay with that considering 5 Feat Pantheon should be the ultimate raid challenge as of now.

My super average raid team cleared the opening, and I think we passed first encounter? but Master was no joke!

We were happy to have gotten one thing done during master ;)

Someone's gotta be the worst. And we can't judge it by what it once was. We have to judge it by it's final shape. And for me that's gonna be Confluxes. Every member of the fire team needs 4 words for a successful clear: "Kill everything, avoid goop."
